<p>We’re embarking upon week three of the wait. If we haven’t heard by the end of the week, you should consider that other offer. I’ve recently learned you should never turn down a good yes for a maybe.</p>
<p>But no one has tweeted about hearing anything other than the “still processing” email. And Google hasn’t shown any new activity on the notification note.</p>

<p>How do you know most of the interns have already been selected? The only way to know is through the acceptance letter in which they tell you they’ll be doing a background check. Do you know someone who has received an acceptance letter? I’m confused.</p>

<p>Nostradamus - Is there a chance a candidate may be selected without an interview? I received a note from one of the offices that they were considering my application and I sent them 2 writing samples as per their request. I have not had any interview yet. I sent them the samples that I had publised earlier and had received very good reviews from the industry. Not sure why I was not interviewed :-(</p>

<p>background checks seem obvious, but do they call references/do they call home universities for academic records etc?</p>
<p>not that i have a problem with it, just seems invasive without informing us first.</p>
