<p>I heard back today from the WH Internship office with a regret. Anyway, I had already taken up another internship offer as the WH had delayed their decision. I was surprised with the whole selection process!</p>

<p>The thread has become very quiet all of a sudden as I did not see a single posting from anyone who got accepted!!! I wonder why all the secrecy?</p>
<p>everyone has gone silent lol. based on the the acceptance emails from last semester (my friend was a fall 2010 thats how i know) they ask not to post acceptance on a social networking and to refrain as much as possible from telling ppl. I think that is why ppl have “disapeared” from either. Either they have been accepted and dont want to share, or they were rejected and probably feel down about it.</p>
<p>Lillibilly- thanks for the note. I have got another exciting opportunity which is fully paid. So I am happy that things worked out for me even though I did not get the WH internship. I was really surprised with the whole experience of the application and selection process. Good luck to you.</p>

I’m looking for housing and I was wondering if anyone in this forum needs a responsible female roommate. I want to live as close to or in the city proper as possible to take advantage of the metro system. </p>

I’ve been reading through the forums and it seems like a few weeks before the official “notification date” those that are likely to move ahead in the application process receive a “vitals email” asking them to confirm name, DOB, SSN, etc for security purposes. Has anyone received this for Summer '11??</p>

- If you didn’t get a vitals email you’re out.
- If you get a vitals info you will Likely get an interview next week over the phone.
3)If you don’t get an interview, you may still be hired. - We’ll find out the week of the 20th ish.</p>
<p>I received a vitals email an hour ago (I’m on the west coast). I have followed this thread for months and noticed that there is conflicting perceptions about what the Vitals email means. </p>
<p>For my nerves, I’ll just assume it is the next step in. But if it is the next step before the interview, why don’t they ask for your phone number again to confirm that its correct for the phone call?</p>
