<p>I have heard in the past that those who are accepted are asked NOT to publish the info via social media sites… Not sure if that is true (did I see it somewhere in the 178 pages of this thread? No telling now…). I am surprised if you have an acceptance in hand that you are suggesting this.</p>

<p>Once again, I apologize in advance for not having the time to check the previous 10 pages or so, but have some of the people who used to post and were interviewed gone silent? Perhaps that could mean acceptances for them, as they are encouraged not to post anything online after being accepted.</p>
<p>Jeap it is very well possible. But, off the top of my head I can’t think of anybody who has dropped off the grid except WH2011 and W2ELaw. But they dropped off after we had some problematic posters start to spam this board. I don’t think they’re aware that the moderators have gone through and blocked/deleted the troublemakers. Oh well. Just trying to come up with optimistic explanations haha.</p>

<p>for those of you in this thread that the WH is the first government internship you applied to… I would just say “welcome”… welcome to the idea that the government often does not do things when they say they will. Getting all stressed over it unfortunately does not help. I applied to some summer internships in the fall that I still haven’t heard back from, even though the date they said they would let me know by is long gone.</p>
<p>I interviewed with one agency in January that said they would let people know “by the end of the holidays”… I heard back at the end of February.</p>

<p>to those wondering about the fall, I would definitely apply again if you are interested and can do it that semester. A lot of times the semester internships get fewer applicants compared to the summer sessions (still a lot though). I’m sure they won’t look at those applications until they have all the summer people they want, so it wouldn’t impact you negatively for the summer.</p>
