Not to be negative, but it seems like big waves of rejections happen on Fridays. Maybe there will be another cut today?

Congrats WH123…!!!

got the rejection email just now. best of luck to all~

I just received my rejection email. Better luck in the fall I hope!! Good luck to everyone else still waiting for an answer!! :-)

rejected.
i had an interview and 2 still processing emails. best of luck to those who got in!

Congrats to everyone who got in, and the best of luck to everyone who didn’t–I hope and am sure you will have fulfilling summer experiences. I still haven’t heard anything, is anyone else still waiting on a decision?

I didn’t believe it would go on this long.

It almost makes u wonder what they r looking for… I have great qualifications and so I think it was the typo on one of my essay questions.
I of-course changed and corrected my fall submission.

I was wondering I received an email from the WH advising me of other internship opportunities I should apply for. However, some of these are with Presidential Correspondence, WH Council etc… I thought these were already departments in the WH. I remember selecting them as choices. Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks!

How many of you are applying (or are planning to apply, if rejected for the summer) for the fall? I wonder if it is true that they receive fewer applications for the fall.

@Catdcruz, the Presidential Correspondence in “the other internship opportunities” email is framed as a volunteer opprotunity, and not an internship that is offered through the WH Internship program. I am not sure what the precise difference is in the tasks of a volunteer versus an intern. Also, the WH Council on Environmental Quality Internship Program, is a completely separate program than the general WH Internship program. They are entirely different application processes, with different deadlines and probably a different review committee.

I have already applied for the fall. Hopefully I have better luck.

I got ANOTHER still processing e-mail (my 3rd one)

Ditto what Mahavir10 just said.

I’m sure it is true. The fall is a more self selecting group because people are generally in school, so most of the applicants will probably be local instead of national.

As an example, the internship I am at currently with the government had 43% more applicants for the summer than the spring.

Still waiting. I hope people who are still left post decisions either way, I’m getting really anxious. This has been dragged out so long : (

hey guys so excited! i emailed them saying i REALLY wanted the position and they gave second interview!

For anyone that applied for Fall, has anyone heard anything back from the office? Vitals? Interviews? Good luck to everyone that applied!

Hello!

I applied for fall and have heard NOTHING so far. Anyone else?

Still waiting for a response for summer. Please tell me I’m not the only one left!

I received a conditional acceptance.
