<p>One of my friends who also applied for this summer was just notified of her acceptance to the WH for this summer. I have not heard a peep from the WH since I was asked to provide my “vitals”. I’m getting rather nervous and worried. At this point I really don’t care whether I was accepted or rejected; I just want to find out. </p>
<p>Does anyone have any idea as to when this will be? According to the website it will be this week, but it’s already Wednesday night… : (</p>

<p>Which office contacted her? Did she get an interview? Vitals form? That is so odd to say the least.</p>
<p>I’m going to call them in the morning because it’s too late tonight. I’ll let you guys know as soon as I find out. But having a friend whose already heard from them is promising. It might mean a reply is on the horizon!</p>

<p>Ok, I called. The women in the office there said that the deadline will not be extended this semester, and that everyone who is rejected as well as accepted will get notified. So, we just have from now until next Monday to find out! Good luck guys, I hope someone here gets it.</p>
<p>Gandalf- do you know which office she was accepted to? It seems pretty weird that they wouldn’t notify everyone at the same time. Not feeling good about the whole thing. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see…</p>

<p>Well she’s a friend of mine, and I saw on her Facebook status yesterday that she was going to be working for Obama’s environmental advisor for this summer. I would imagine she applied to the internship program just as we did-unless she went through CEQ, but they don’t notify you until later in the month, so I doubt she would have already heard.</p>
<p>I have a bad feeling about this too, to be honest. As has been alluded to, it’s a long shot for even the best of us. Luckily we can always reapply during the semester when it’s sure to be less competitive (I had a friend who worked directly for Dana Perino and he once told me that roughly 3-5 times more applicants apply for the summer than for the semester).</p>
<p>Yeah, I agree. I definitely can’t do a semester internship because of my school and job requirements, but we’ll see what happens… Best of Luck!!</p>
<p>yeah, this monday, as in the one a few days from today. I can’t imagine they’d send it out during the weekend, unless they’re all workaholics, so I’d anticipated it’d be tomorrow or Monday sometime. Pretty soon!</p>
