All have their perks, I got accepted to 8 but it is down to these.

Whitman: Beautiful campus, happy students that i get along with, great education

Colgate: Kinda prestigious, stunning campus, great education, great post grad opportunities and alumni relations.

Bates: Great education and I could be on their crew team.

Colo College: Love the block plan, love the campus, but a little too close to home (Im from denver)

Grinnell: They have tons of money and probably have the best overall education of the bunch. Plus they have the funding to do pretty much whatever I want.

Wow neontb, congrats on some fantastic choices! I assume you’ve visited them all and wouldn’t be asking unless you could see yourself at each of these. From your descriptions, the phrase that jumps out at me is, “and I could be on their crew team”. If everything else were equal, being on a college team can sometimes make a world of difference between liking and loving your 4 years. I know it has for S. Have you met the coach and the other team members? No crew at any of the other schools?

Grinnell or Colgate, but they are very different in personality. What is your personality like? Laid back? Preppy? Looking for Greek scene or laid back partying?

I would definitely pick Grinnell (with Bates as the second choice). But did you visit? What felt right to you? Which did you like? Which felt like the right place for you to spend 4 years?
