Well one “The U” was founded 75 years before the other.

Yeah, but one has 5 national championships, 9 HOFamers, and started the “the U” years ago. I’m sticking to my guns on this one.

Right, which presumably is why she applied. But if she likes Whitman more, which she seems to other than concern about location, and if part of the reason she likes it more is because it’s generally viewed as more selective, and it is, I don’t see any problem with her investing in Whitman, in part, based on ‘pride of achievement.’ Why not? We like what we like.
No doubt Miami has historically had the better football program. Utah was The U before Miami was even founded though. That doesn’t mean Miami isn’t THE The U.

I am not against her going to Whitman. Please read the entirety of my posts.
I said she should get her concern validated or allayed about location.
But I said I wouldn’t diminish a school based on its selectivity. But if you do, then why apply to begin with ?
