As of right now I am leaning towards going to Syracuse next year and have recently visited the campus and thought it was great. However, I was wondering how great of a reputation Whitman has, specifically their accounting program. Syracuse is a lot of money and I was seeing if the debt will be worth it. Thanks

Syracuse Whitman, prides themselves on being able to get their students jobs right after graduating. Syracuse’s accounting program has a direct relationship with J.P. morgan, so I think that it will be well worth it.

JDD, I’m wondering the same thing. I was also accepted to Whitman but am weighing out going to my state’s school, or going into some debt and coming out of Syracuse.

I too have been weighing out the state school option. I know by going to Syracuse I will have to pay a lot more loans, but I feel it will be worth it in the end and from what I heard the overall experience is great.

I’m in the exact same boat.

My son has been struggling with the same decision. Due to the heavy debt he would have if he selected SU/Whitman, he is leaning towards his top SUNY and two smaller privates that offered large merit scholarships. He would like to eventually complete his MBA so the undergrad “name” will not be as important in the long run.
