Who applied for scholarships?

If you applied for scholarships by December 1st, party it up in this thread. lol. I'm tired.

I really really really wanted to, but it's 1:37 am and I'm still not done with my essays.

I'm so frustrated that I'm like crying.

and my parents are MAD.

I did, obviously, because I applied ED, no downside.

Yeah I did too, I was making good time with the essays and I was all finished until the question about what everyone could agree on. I spent up until 11:45 tossing ideas around but then I realized that one of the short answer essays wouldn't fit. I finally got it in exactly at 11:59.

lol, good job jkmar... I'm sorry tickytock, that sucks. : ( But, at least it's not like you missed the deadline for admission... that would be a hundred times worse.

I meant to, but forgot that Dec. 1 was the deadline. Still have essays to do.

I like freaked out on Monday because I realized the deadline was Dec. 1 so I worked on my essays all week and got them in Friday.
I am really curious to know what everyone wrote about, but I guess some people won't discuss that till after Jan 2nd.
Good Luck to everyone!

I applied!

If you want to read my supplemental leadership essay...do you want to trade?

PM me!

congrats to everybody who got it in! haha.

I'm still not done, but my parents are making me finish tonight "just in case."

My leadership essay is really bad.. I was way too vague and it's only like one page 1.5 spaced size 11 or 10.

Would anyone want to share their responses for some of the short essays, I thought they were pretty intriguing but irksome to write, but since most of us have sent them in I think it'd be fine. My world destination was a small town in vermont, I said i'd be a sweater, and my superhero is kinda complex but has to do with saving endangered languages. I also invited more than one person to lunch, and I'm not sure if that even was possible, but I figured a larger gathering would be more interesting.

ME! well...if they accept it, it was late. but only a bit. and not for california time. so?
i think i hated those short essays. i actually ended up asking my mom what she thought and going with the most rediculous thing she said. as in my clothing was heels you can run in and my superhero was a giraffe. yes, a giraffe. in which I included a song about Gaffy the Giraffe which I wrote in 3rd grade. Which is now stuck in my head....
hey maybe they'll be amused? I'm hoping. I would lovvvve to go to cali. But it's not my first school, if I get into my ED school I'll be withdrawing the app. Which is such a waste of time then. But If not, not!

I actually liked my short responses a lot... uh... I don't really want to post them here because RD kids will see them, but if you want you can PM me...

i hated the short answers, but at the same time, it was fun. All I have to say is...the adcoms are going to think I'm very weird (not necessarily in a bad way, hopefully). I used a really bad pun in one of them and I couldn't think of anything to put for the "if you could go out to lunch with anyone in the world it would be __" so I made an honest joke of it. Hopefully they won't think I'm unacademic because of my err...unique interests (of course, nothing to do with inappropriate things :p) and non-complete-seriousness in my short answers (they'd have to be interesting, at least?)

i did :) yay cant wait

I applied for scholarships...my superhero essay is probably my weakest.
