Straight from umich.edu

"The Office of Undergraduate Admissions for U-M recalculates the grade point averages (GPA) for all applicants. Grades are determined using an unweighted 4.0 scale: A (including plus or minus ) = 4.0, B (including plus or minus) = 3.0, C (including plus or minus) = 2.0, D (including plus or minus) = 1.0, and E or F = 0.0.

Freshmen: No extra (GPA) weight is given to Honors, Accelerated, or Advanced Placement courses; however, the difficulty of a student's curriculum is taken into consideration within the admission's process. Additionally, only academic courses from 10th and 11th grade (Foreign Language, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, and English) are used to calculate the GPA."

My GPA is 3.9 (on a weird 4.0 w/ honors system) class rank 40s
My ACT: 31 essay 7
XTRA curri: Co-Pres/founder of Cricket club, a small officer pos of amnesty int club, school won robotics comp. Part of some other clubs (medical, mu alpha theta, international, grapevine magazine). Chess team, team won regionals last yr
Comm Serv: approx 100 hrs combined from 3 organizations.

Why does email 4/4 take so long to receive, and is it harder to get into U MICh if we did Ross School of Business. Typically how long after email 4 of 4 comes do we find out the decision?

Also does being a native hawaiian/pacific islander benefit in any way? i know being asian is a big disadvantage and other minoirity races other than asian are all benefits
