<p>sonicyouth-i'm in my high school marching band right now, but i'm not sure if i want to continue marching in college. i like marching and all, but i don't know..i would rather play in concert band or orchestra...what do you play, i play pic marching normally.</p>
<p>i wouldn't want to join a really intense marching band in college because i want to try a bunch of other things and that would take up too much time. but dartmouth's band meets twice a week for rehearsals, which is not bad at all. plus it's just one season. i think it would definitely be worth it.</p>
<p>i played mallet percussion in the marching band but i was drum major this past year so i didn't play anything. i play piano mostly, but i can also play guitar. i don't really want to be in orchestra anymore, plus there are probably a lot of pianists who are better than i am.</p>

<p>I will definitely, if possible, be joining both the marching and concert bands at Dartmouth (mello/F horn). Althouth I prefer concert band, I'll always miss the regimented, change-position-50-times-during-one-song style of marching that we had at my high school...</p>
