CC-ers,

I'm a current AEM student (2012 Class) and I'd be more than willing to take some questions and offer some advice. This is the first time since I've been on CC since my acceptance to AEM and I'm also an AEM ambassador (if you get accepted one of us will be assigned to you) so feel free to contact me (facebook: Kevin Song). Best of luck guys!

AEM 2012

How many internationals apply for AEM? What is the likelihood of AEM not accepting ANY internationals?

Also, do adcoms favor internationals living in the US (i.e. went to part of elementary, all of middle school and high school in the US) or out of US?

AEM students are definitely diverse and from all over the world. AEM definitely does accept international students so don't fret about that.

I don't believe there is favoritism of that sort. AEM will give you a fair shot regardless of your upbringing or educational background.

facebook and email are the best
email is kjs244@cornell.edu

Hi, I am an international transfer student who is currently attending a school in the U.S.
I already submitted a transfer application to AEM, Cornell as a junior transfer student, and this is my 4th semester at current school.
I accomplished all the required courses for AEM.
I would like to ask for an advice to College Confidential fellows that what is my chances of getting into AEM. I think it will be the best to ask to American students.

Here are my records: (Accounting Major and planning to have a double major/minor in Computer Science or Finance)
1) My GPA is 3.98 (All A except and 1 B+)

2) I received 5 awards from County Executive, County Sheriff and Board of Chosen Freeholders (Leadership Award and commendation of Certificates).

3) Executive Board of Student Government Council (Secretary) , Math tutor, Assistant at Admissions Office, Treasurer at International Student Association, Head of 2009 SGC Election Committee, volunteering as a financial coach at non-profit organization, and etc.

4) I enlisted in an army for 26 months(Not U.S. Army). Six months of experience as a 4th Squad Leader.

5) Very strong recommendation letters from my accounting professor, and 3 more letters from the President of my school, Dean, and Advisor of Phi Theta Kappa.

Please advise me on this.

Thank you! Go Go Go AEM!

Can I have your email please?

on Cornell's AEM website, 51 external transfers were admitted in 2008.
