I know it says "core subjects" but would a Civil Engineering Teacher count if I am going to major in engineering in college? Does core subjects just mean classes that aren't chorus, band, drivers ed, etc?

Thanks!

Im gonna bump this message!

Basically, the core classes are the following:
Math: Three to four years(algebra, geometry, calculus)
English: Four years(composition, literature, speech)
Social Sciences: Three years (history, sociology, psychology, political science, geography, economics
Science: Three years (earth science, biology, chemistry, physics)

Sadly, Civil Engineering would count as an elective.

I remember getting one from my art teacher and from another of my electives… Both of whom I took classes with in grades ten thru twelve. I guess it was a bit more risky doing it that way but both teachers had me for three years so I figured it would be a better reference to my character as opposed to someone who only had me for one. They wrote great recs.
