<p>Tufts is one of the best unis in the US. And you know that the rankings are sketchy at best</p>

<p>Well, I chose Caltech over Dartmouth as well. As much as I loved Dartmouth when I visited there, I chose Caltech for its focus on science and technology, as well as Pasadena's superior climate. I will definitely say that Dartmouth was a very tough school to turn down though.</p>

<p>i turned down dartmouth for harvard. honestly, i don't even know if it was the best decision because i didn't get a chance to visit dartmouth. i think i would have really liked it, though, because i'm a huge outdoors person. but it makes me happy to give you waitlistees who love dartmouth so much a better chance :) good luck, everyone.</p>

<p>got into Northwestern HPME...they gave better FA too. My Dartmouth FA was great though</p>
<p>Boston and Harvard just fit better for me....</p>
<p>I gave up Dartmouth for Stanford.</p>
<p>Passed on Dartmouth for Brown PLME... if it weren't for the PLME I would be going to Dartmouth. My decisions was a battle between the heart and the brain, and eventually the brain (assisted by the parents) won. I'll always love the place, Dimensions was amazing, and so are the people. Best wishes to all of you.</p>

<p>lol is it sick that with each person that says "I turned down Dartmouth" I have to stop myself from smiling because that may, somehow, somewhere, end up being good for me?!</p>
<p>I'm going to Amherst instead of Dartmouth (which turned out not even being my second choice, though it was my parent's first). No real reason, I just liked the smaller community of Amherst better, and I really like their class environment. Plus, they really recruited me, I must admit.</p>
