Is it just me, or are there other people checking the quikpay, BUBrain, and CC every 5 min to see if anything has changed?

The thing is that I can and have gotten into universities such as Northeastern and Syracuse, but the most they give out is around $20k in scholarships and aid per year per student. So most private universities end up costing around $30k per year still. Binghamton is a solid academic school for half the price, regardless of if I get any money from them or not. An undergraduate education is essentially the same anywhere (despite what some will say), and it does not make sense to me to waste an extra $15k a year on tuition to go anywhere else. That’s why I am so anxiously waiting for Binghamton. Buffalo sent their letters out in late February and gave me $5k/year.

I really want to go to Binghamton because of its good academic reputation and ridiculously low price… but this wait is killing me

Haha ya, I definately would NOT qualify for financial aid anywhere, and with one of my brothers at a private college, and my younger brother heading to college soon after I do, I dont have much choice other than a SUNY.

ya, but unfortunately I didnt apply to any of those schools that give out the full EFC in aid

we are finding out today or tomorrow! My guidance counselor said that they said they “will be sending packages within the week.” He called on Monday! Weeks almost over :)

Good Luck Guys!!

My D heard from BU yesterday and Binghamton today… all good news. BU offered about 20 thousand in grants and scholarship. Bing I don’t think offered anything, although we haven’t received the FA letter yet. Good Luck!

got in sooooo happy

bing doesnt send out financial packages, its all online

I luv the name of this post!!! i feel the same way. plus i’ll prob hav 2 wait longer than evry 1 else since i live in the caribbean

Binghamton’s suggested date for notification is April 1, which is this Thursday. I know this is a very stressful time for all of you, but you might want to do occupy your minds with other things that don’t concern your admissions decisions.

QUICKPAY IS NOT A RELIABLE INDICATOR OF ADMISSIONS. IN SOME CASES, STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT BEEN ELIGIBLE TO PAY DEPOSITS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED, AND STUDENTS WHO WERE ELIGIBLE TO PAY DEPOSITS HAVE BEEN DENIED.

yay!!! that means the world to me!!!ur so right bingambassador. i really need to stay off sites like this.lol
