Done...until Rice

Yayyy jon! I'm still working on Princeton...and then toying with Harvard.

OH MISS ZANNA YOU BETTER APPLY TO HARVARD WITH ME!

whoah, that sounds like a threat :)
omz, I think you'd better do what she says!

Haha I do sound rather intimidating with my all-caps order.

yeah, apply to harvard so you can turn them down for princeton :D

good idea, fairygirl143

Haha I think you just took on a new nickname kraor/fairygirl.

And your idea is spectacular - together OMZ and I and everybody else on this board are going to turn down Harvard for Princeton.

j07, i would love for the people on this board to decrease harvard's yield rate and raise Princeton's!

hahaha thanks for the nickname!! no more pronoun confusion for me!

yay for turning down harvard! i actually don't feel too much antipathy towards harvard (i'm sure that will change next year).... the only reason i wouldn't have applied there is because all the pics i've seen of it showed brick buildings, and i'm obsessed with stone (aka gorgeous gothic buildings at princeton). yeah, i was being very superficial with my choice of apps to fill out. i also went by the name of the college and by the # of essays they required lol. i'm glad i didn't have to do any deeper consideration to figure out better reasons to apply/not apply. princeton was the only one i knew i loved NON superficially!

plus the focus on undergrad...that was big for me anyway.

yep that was important to me too. and the undergrad research and everything. and its safe but not-completely-rural location & proximity to NYC. princeton is a perfect size too. size is actually more of a problem than i thought. a ton of my friends are having problems choosing colleges based on size- many are way too small (davidson, for example) while others are huge. a lot of people don't want to go somewhere smaller than their high school, but a school with too many students seems impersonal and more suited for graduate school, perhaps.

yea princeton is definitly the perfect size and in the perfect location. both factors for me as well.

Ahhh, you guys are reminding me of how much I love Princeton and now I am having even more trouble choosing my stupid favorite word!!

Not really -- well, kind of. Basically I love Princeton too. Yall are lucky.

best of luck j07! you'll feel so relieved once you finally press "send" on the app!
