Who else is bittersweet about leaving community college?

Is anyone feeling bittersweet (though excited) to be leaving community college?

I'm totally excited about transferring to CSUF next fall, as it is my top-choice school and it has an amazing history department. I'm a bit sad that I'm leaving community college at the end of this semester, though! I've worked hard to get where I currently am as a student and as an individual, and I will truly miss the professors who have inspired me and who have supported my ambitions over the past three years. I will also miss the new friends that I've made this year who will be staying behind at community college for another year or two. It has definitely been a humbling experience. I've changed so much since I first walked on campus, and besides feeling excited for orientation, I'm also counting down the days until I start classes at CSUF.

Anyone else with me? Where will you be transferring?

raiseshand

there is nothing bittersweet about leaving community college… haha.

Naw man, i start living life wen i get out of highschool part 2

I’m actually having lots of fun at De Anza. Yes, it’s bittersweet having to leave it and I think I’m really going to miss the good time I had/am having there.

not bittersweet for me at all haha. I can’t say I hated going to CC, but I’m REALLY glad I’m leaving.

It’s bittersweet for me – excited to finally move on (especially since I know so many people graduating this year and graduating early, etc) but I had a positive and memorable experience at De Anza + Foothill, for the most part. I grew up a lot and met and became friends with people I wouldn’t have (totally opposites in so many ways) otherwise.

i’ll miss my mom’s cooking…

As many have noted, community college is really what you make of it. If I end up transferring out this year, I will look back and miss my one year here. It’s been insane and tiresome, but I’ve met great people and had great professors. I managed to get a position in student government and meet/interact with a crowd that I never would have if I’d gone straight to a university as a math major.

Nothing bitter… only sweet.

Too excited about finally attending university… don’t know what the hell the food situation will be… Can’t cook… mother cooks me everything… Yeah…

I’m glad I finally get to get the h… Out of CC. Good riddance! I will miss my moms cooking like someone stated before lol

I seriously can’t wait to get out. Tomorrow is my last day:). All I wanted to do is get in and get out.

not me :)))))

Not really. I can’t wait for these last four weeks to be over! Hallelujah!

I never liked it at my community college. Some cool professors and a few nice people but that was the exception to the rule.

yeah, im done and it was really wierd leaving
all my professors that I’ve had continuously since I started all wished me good luck and it was wierd knowing that Im not going back. but im still excited too :)

as someone else mentioned on here, Idk whats gonna happen about the food situation
my parents cook me everything too, i dont know how to cook
sooo, next year should be quite interesting lol

So glad to leave SMC and all the nasty people there hahahaha but seriously, I can’t wait to go to class at a university where nobody is wearing stilettos at 9 a.m.

Yeah it’s definitely bittersweet. CC is just the transition to real life at university…it’s crazy how quickly that went by…now we have to declare majors and decide what will be best for us later…but then again, we get to do whatever we want : )

Hahaha… Korean girls crossing grass parks and walking miles in high heels during the morning… shiiit… made my jaw drop every time.
