Who else is stuck on "We received the fall grades we requested"?

those are prob rejections. but whats reviewed for a long time mean then…hmm

@jack

I’ve been stuck at forwarded for about 2 weeks now. Maybe you are right on them being rejections lol.

ohhh i’m sorry now i feel bad i’m seriously just speculating. maybe it means they have yet to make a decision and it keeps getting reviewed by different committees. if your stats are good enough then don’t lose hope. i sound pretty hypocritical for saying this, but i think deep down inside we all have to believe

@jack

Don’t worry about it. I’m just along for the ride. It be great if I got into USC but I think as tornados posted somewhere else I started to visit some of the colleges I was accepted to and that whole process. If worst comes to worst I can always transfer or go to grad school at USC. But you are right though. People still need to have hope.

dbroncos23…that is my plan. If I am not in now, then I will be back in two years as a transfer student. Unless of course I fall in love with UCSD (NOT!!!) lol.

still stuck on fall grades =/

hahah well usc isn’t a viable choice for me anymore… i just got a full ride to UT austin!

though, i still want to get in lol

^ Did you just find out??? Congrats!

Hopefully we’ll all get some good news this week concerning USC.

Congrats jack!

yeah they just sent me an email. which is odd considering it is 12 on a sunday night (or, monday morning?) here. but it’s pretty unbelievable and exciting. and yeah, i hope this week is filled with good news. we need it

Haha! Just a couple of hours ago you were at the end of your rope and ranting - and now you are sitting there with a FULL RIDE. That is GREAT (though it would be even greater if you were coming to USC)!

haha thank you very much alamemom! i don’t really want to go there but it makes me feel better and makes me a bit more confident for the upcoming intense weeks of decisions!

reading his posts, Jack seems to have great personality, someone I would like as my classmate. Hope this shows in your application essays, jack.

aw thank you elan_xu. that really means a lot. i like to hope that personality/personal qualities shine through ones application just as much as more concrete factors do. that way those who deserve it will really get in somewhere great. good luck in the next few weeks!

Same to you.
It is hard to believe that they will simply reject us with “fall grades” when the end of the month hits.
I think they just haven’t had the time to review many applications. Last year’s waves and dates can change this time. Maybe this is a “big year” for them. If so, we have a genuine chance.

If your theory is correct, then I’m probably rejected. I have been stuck at forwarded for a week now.

I was accepted to the Leeds School of Business and the Norlin Scholars program at CU Boulder with a $27k scholarship. I could graduate with honors and it has tons of perks like a counselor just for NS kids, priority registration, one -on-one mentoring by a professor, preferential reseach and internship opportunities, but I really want to stay in CA and go to USC.

My brother goes to Boulder and loves it. My only other viable option at the moment is CalPoly Business school. Waiting to hear from UCSB today and Berekely on Thursday. What do you guys think?

JackDaniels has me thinknig now…BTW That is AWESOME about the full ride.

Copying this from the other thread.

Okay I feel REALLY dumb. I just went on the USC website and apparently I was also supposed to MAIL in my mid-year grades??? I had NO idea I though I was only supposed to type them up online! I called and asked and they said I needed to send in a transcript or report card ASAP! So I just emailed my councilor and asked him to send one in. Hopefully this is what delayed my application so much. I’m just surprised they didn’t contact me about it!

Maybe some of you make a similar mistake?

What??? I thought we only needed to type them online! The status says they have everything they need. I am so confused.

If you only submitted online and are concerned about it (callers get conflicting info on this one - some get the answer jack did, while others are told just submitting online is fine), you can FAX a copy of your report card to admissions or scan and email - it does not have to be an official transcript from your high school.

Sam … that’s exactly what i thought!! I was pretty sure the letter said that as well, but the women I spoke to made it explicit that I have to send in a copy TODAY. I’m sick at home and I’m about to drive to my school to get a copy from my councilor. Also, she told me to mail it in NOT fax it. I think I’m going to call usc again and see if someone else will give me different information before i drive all the way back to school /: i’ll let you guys know what happens in about 10 min
