oooh moonstar your name is pretty!

Yeah, it was hella hot today here in my part of SoCal. I think around 93?? And I can’t turn on the AC when mom is home (arthritis) :/

At least it was slightly windy in the morning.

Any ideas on how to freaking sleep in this heat?

Omggggg it’s so hot right now, I’m upstairs in my room, with no AC…fmll
It was like 90 degrees today…gonna be 95-98 tomorrow…gahhhhhh how do I sleep

^Yep, 98 tomorrow. Shorts and tank top for me! Swim practice might actually be a godsend :D

socalscott: Get a fan. When the heat comes, I just pull out the fan and set it to like… 3 hrs, so that I can fall asleep. :)

I’ve been shirtless all day (don’t worry, I’m not fat). It’s days like these that make me angry that wearing pants is considered a societal necessity.

Fans been running all day : /

Anyone ever notice how it JUST starts to get really hot around Coachella?

Very classy.

I’m thinking of installing one of those ceiling fans, I heard they work wonders.

Just wondering, why did you capitalize ‘Heat’? Is The Heat some kind of god you potheads out in cali. worship?

HA. And thus arrives that brief, glorious stretch of time in New York State where the sun emerges and water takes more than 2 minutes to freeze solid when set outside. While you Californians are sweating through summer and racing between air-conditioned places like you’re dodging meteors, New Yorkers (non-NYC, which is in fact its own seperate universe from NYS) will be frolicking. FROLICKING.

SUFFER, BEACH BUNNIES.

Funny, I always thought you were a girl, yawn.

after this latest heatwave it is my dream to move to Alaska, or better yet, the North pole. My dream school is now UNP (university of north pole). I HATE Cali weather!!!

Sooooo hot here. I think it hit 100 degrees yesterday. my house doesn’t have air conditioning, and my room is the hottest…ergghh
and with CST testing, we have to go to our 6th periods the whole day for the next three days, and guess what? The AC is broken in that class.

Stupid global warming.

It varies from day to day.

It hit 40 degrees Celsius today where I live. I just checked, and that translates to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Dang.

Woot, someone who shares my pain.

im sweating my balls off atm

My parents are too cheap to use the AC…and my room is on the second floor…■■■

^Agreed, I’m sticky and moist right now (my skin)

That must be painful.

This heat wave came out of freaking no where!! It’s 89 right now (9:13 PM). HOLY CRAP!

I have two fans on me at the moment. It feels like summer already.

I hate it! Usually the intense heat of summer is compensated by the fact that it’s summer. I can’t deal with this AND school!

edit: WOOT! I see a forecast of ~70 by the end of the week. that’s pretty strange…

Okay, for non Calis - it USUALLY cools off at night, even on the hottest days. Just not today! Happens a few times a year. (No. Cali)

Psh NoVA is much worse. We have heat AND crazy humidity (makes it seem 20 degrees hotter)!
