Who else?

They can probably rule people out first and then limit it down to who is qualified to be accepted.

My app's been reviewed too. btw, were any of you contacted by BU's e-hosts?

I wasn't.

I loathe character floor limits.

laurenemma are you suggesting that if it says we've been reviewed that we've been rejected? if so, that's a rude suggestion to make.

p.s. i havent been contacted by e-hosts either

upsided, i think she was referencing the statement someone made about a person who posted on a LJ community saying that s/he had already received a rejection letter. she wasn't saying anything about the people who already had their "applications reviewed." at least that's what i think she's saying.

what is e-hosts?

ah, gotcha.

dunno what ehosts is either, so i know i havent been contacted.

Mine used to say the review was complete, now it just says my application is complete. Weirdness...

Now it says review is complete...JUST TELL US ALREADY!

Seriously...I'm ready to make a decision about the next 4 years of my life if they can just stop playing these mind games!

Okay, maybe that's a little overdoing it, but you know what I mean.

twink you were right. I am not judging people at all. My applicant link now say that my application has been reviewed so I would be judging myself as well.

There are a few students at BU who are e-hosts for the university. You can look them up at some place on the website. These students (who call themselves e-hosts) are there to answer any questions an applicant may have about the university through e-mail. A few weeks before, i got an e-mail from one of the e-hosts inviting me to ask questions. And then when i checked my app status, it said my app had been REVIEWED for the first time.
But then i applied to the college of engineering, so maybe this thing is restricted to the college of engineering?

Yesterday my app status said "application complete" and today it says it's reviewed. I think they are definitely getting things ready, which makes sense, given the timing, I guess. It does feel very mind-gameish, even if it's unintentional, doesn't it?

Perhaps their original March 15 deadline will be kept? Only time will tell...

this is kinda unrelated, but i got a letter from them last week asking for some financial aid stuff that had gotten lost. It said several times on the letter that this was NOT an indication that I was accepted blah blah, but I'm still wondering why they would be concerned with my financial aid if it wasn't true? Also, does anyone know if bu is need blind?

If you're an international student, it isn't.

How will we ever know when exactly the decisions are going to be up? Will it be notified on the website that 'BU releases decisions on so and so date for class'09 students' or do we keep checking right from the 15th?

Some people's decisions go up earlier than others, after the deadline.. so, some of us will be able to find out right on the 23rd (or whenever they decide to tell us..) and others will have to wait a few more days..

Apparently, it all goes up in really random order, so you just have to keep checking right from the 15th on. I guess, though, that they send you an e-mail when your decision has been posted.

are decisions definitely posted online?

I happened to check the moment my decision came up. Dwon the the minute, perhaps, because my e-mail came several minutes afterwards. So, if you want to see your decision first, keep pressing F5 on the applicant page ; )

[EDIT: @constellationx: YES, THEY ARE.]

Hmmm... the e-mail notification that your decision has been posted is news to me. That'll easen up things a bit.

Luckybug: Why do you say the 15th? Isn't it 23rd?

my review is completed, and I didn't specifically apply for any scholarships.

I thought that was a good thing, but woooooooowwwww...that's really scary now because bu is the one school i have a shot out of state (texas.)
this really, really sucks.
