shh, we're tricking splintercell50 and other prestige-whores

WAIT, Coach said that, if I get accepted into ILR, I could be part of the Cornell track team. I guess he doesn't know that ILR is not part of the Ivy league. I guess I'll just send him an e mail informing him of my ineligibility.

No when youre on the track team you are automatically a CUNY member which bars you from going to any SUNY school, especially SUNYILR. I'm surprised your coach didnt explain that to you.

man we love sarcasm on this board hahaahah

(it is the long drawn out waiting for our decisions...)

for a second i did not notice some of the sarcasm and I was like WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE IDIOTS.

HAHAHA

"No when youre on the track team you are automatically a CUNY member which bars you from going to any SUNY school, especially SUNYILR."

So what would it say on my diploma? That's really all that matters.
Screw my passion for ILR.

HAHAHAHA i love u kiddies <3

Jeydomz, your comment just made my day. starbound's took me a while cuz i totally forgot wut SUNY was. :P (hey. i live in cali. i get a break, right? :D)

btw, AEM isnt even a school... it's a program....... at CALS.. -___-''

I can't believe you guys don't know what it says on an ILR diploma. Everyone I know carries their diploma in their back pocket - you know to pull it out at cocktail parties and impress everyone they meet. Last week, someone I know pulled out their diploma from ILR which said SUNYNYILR. He tried to pretend it was a REAL Cornell diploma, but I knew it was one of those fake SUNY schools. I was so embarassed that he graduated from that weird school but was pretending it was Cornell. What a geek.

That's ok if you didn't recognize SUNY, azhao525. SUNYs aren't prestigious.

I got the FA letter, but no word on status yet.

omuse! you took us back to the point of this thread! boooo

hahaha i think i'm gonna put a link where it says all colleges of cornell university are part of the ivy league =p

Guy with the huge long sarcastic comment...I'm still laughing...Good one...haha...I think the fact that Cornell isn't so snobbish just bugs the other people in the other Ivies...hehe..(Still laughing...Arctic circle)

ANYWAY to the thread...I'm an international student...I got that March 5th email...Then got another one a day later saying please disregard that last email it was sent to some internationals in error...Stats:

SAT I: 1420
SATII : M2:790 Physics: 790
EC's, Essays good...GPA well...high 90%'s...and a couple of reports on research work in advanced math and physics ...applying SEAS

Sarcastic guy is funny...

^^^^^
and didnt apply for Aid

^^^ that is the huge deal in your admission!!!

Really?? How so...I figured it was just a messed up email... Whats the logic in it being huge deal for my admission?

I referred to your not applying for aid.

do you mean they are a little more likely to admit those that don't want fa? i have heard that too.

Its not a case of "little more likely"...Its absolutely massive...The international applicant pool is dominated by FA applicants...No question about it...Think of it this way...
Non FA apps: More places less people fighting for it
FA Apps: More People applying far fewer funded places

hey dhruv, are you in Houston TX?? i think I know you
