@pwesolowski10
same here!
4.02 GPA, 1460 M+V, got accepted with Provost (5k scholarship) but rejected from SEAS.

@Cid2010 I’m from Buffalo actually so maybe that’s why it came so soon?

And I’m not too bummed about the engineering program because I actually decided on majoring in biology and seeing where that goes instead of right off into biomedical engineering and called Binghamton and U of R but forgot I put bioengineering on UB’s application.

5k scholarship is such a nice deal especially when my parents said they would pay the other 2 grand and I would have no student loans…But I’m not sure about the huge class sizes and being so close to home and not dorming. I really liked Binghamton and Geneseo so I guess I’ll just see if I get accepted.

Accepted

1140 SAT
2.7 GPA
Good Financial Aid
Personally my essay was FANTASTIC

okay, i just got my acceptance letter. also got the $5000/year provost scholarship.
1380/1600, 2100/2400 SAT. 95 UW average. tons and tons of community service/EC’s/leadership, great essay and recommendations.

question: my letter says that i was declined admission from the school of engineering and applied sciences, but i applied as an economics major. is economics randomly in this school or did they make a mistake/do i need to contact them? thanks

I’m from NJ and I just got my acceptance letter today. However, I was denied from Engineering and I have no reference to financial aid on my letter. Does anyone know if the financial aid indication is on a separate form?

I got in today
500 cr
710 math
460 writing

they didn’t mention anything about financial aid

Accepted today, nothing about financial aid. Probably because stats were low.

Math - 650
CR - 580
Writing - 550
31% in a class of about 700.

But I think I was denied from the School of MGMT. It said “At this point, the School of MGMT is not admitting any additional majors for the fall semester.” That means I was denied right?

Also if I was denied but only interested in studying business does that rule out UB? Because if I’m not going to be studying business, then I’m not going to that school.

Large envelope from UB arrived in the mail today from UB, but D is not home and I am under strict instructions not to open! It is not one of her top choices, but I am anxious to see if there is any aid. I would like to take her to visit the school on accepted students weekend so she can make an informed decision (we haven’t visited before).

(Pretty sure she got in due to her stats on our school’s Naviance.)

accepted today!
1310/2010 SAT 31 ACT
88 avg, but buffalo accepts basically everyone from my school with an 80 avg or above

Accepted today also ! Just have a question…did anyone hear from the Honors College? They said notification of admissions to the Honors College are made at the same time as the regular UB decisions, but I personally did not get an invitation (2200 SATS/96 avrg)

I didn’t hear from the honors college either (2210 SAT 98 GPA)
I also have the same issue as CID2010; I didn’t apply to SEAS but I was denied admission

D got home, opened the envelope and read the acceptance. No mention of FA. She’s not excited… but I still want her to visit… we will see what other acceptances come (still waiting for 3).

3.6 GPA, top 10%, 26 ACT

My son just got his letter today that he was accepted to the Architecture program. We live in New York (Long Island). He is not sure if he wants to go there yet. We did visit the school. The architecture program looks really nice. We did not receive anything about a scholarship or financial aid. Some people said they saw it posted on line - does Buffalo have a site that they post to? I did not think so because we were never able to view admissions status anywhere.

I got accepted today, but I applied for the Pharm D program. There’s no mention of it anywhere in my application… My GPA was 3 and my SAT was 1170.

Nothing in my letter was about honors college or financial aid just Merit scholarship money. And they sent me a revised letter emitting the engineering part of my acceptance letter;I forgot I just put down biology because their biomedical engineering program is new.

i got in! this is my first colllege, so i am really excited (i just got deferred from wesleyan ED2). i got in with the provost scholarship (2,500) and that made me happier

i think i submitted my ACT score which is 29
GPA is like 92
NYC Public School
relatively strong ECs
kickass essay

i got rejected from SEAS which i do not even recall applying to. i think its because i said i wanted to do math somewhere on my application, but whatever.
i’m really happy hahaah

and they mentioned finiacial aid on mine…kind of. they just tell me to do fafsa if i didn’t already. it’ll probably come later

but honestly, some people here have amazing stats…so im guessing this was your safety.
who is really considering buffalo?

S accepted engineering
IS
5K provost-no word on Honors college
2120/2400 1430/1600
10/450
gpa 4.0 UW
minimal interest in attending-but still nice! (already accepted at school higher on his list but waiting to hear from his top 4)

Honors’ program does not usually arrive until a couple to few weeks after your acceptance letter, i know this because a older sibling applied to buffalo a years back and did not get that at the same time, nor did he recieve financial aid package in the mail with the acceptance letter. The Financial aid usually will arrive after the acceptance letter. When? give it 1-3 weeks my guess

D accepted with a nice scholarship. Now we just need to find out what is going on with all the confusion over the School of Nursing. There’s a lot of contradictory information out there right now. Calls to the School of Nursing haven’t been very helpful so far.

If they are still admitting direct-entry freshmen, then I’ll probably be writing a check to SUNY. If not, then D is going to choose a school with a 0-4 BSN nursing program.

Accepted in New York City yesterday. Applied early December, so it’s pretty cool. Only received a 2.5k provost though, considering on attending.
