i got accepted to Syracuse, but the letter says nothing about scholarships from the college, do they send that information later, or did i just not get any money from the school?

they send financial aid a few days later.

My D was accepted to Syracuse and got the e mail 3/12, and got the packet on 3/15. It is one of her top choices. Good luck to all who applied, and for those who are not from the north, buy snow gear!

anichols92 - my daughter received her email at 6:25pm last Friday…there were some that came in around 3pm or so and they also continue to send emails through the weekend…so hang tight and I hope there is some good news in your future!!

My daughter was accepted to Newhouse about a week ago. No Financial packet yet.
How is their financial aid for those who received theirs?
Her stats
GPA 3.99 UW
ACT: 29

Hi everyone! I got my acceptance email on Friday, March 19, at 1:30pst =] I got the email on my Blackberry and just broke down.

Syracuse was my top choice, and even though I didn’t get into Newhouse, I did get into the VPA Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies… so I’m still happy nonetheless =]

Oh, and I’m a Public Relations major, transfer student, and coming all the way from the Bay Area!

Congrats anonymouspinay!! My D was accepted last week into the same program. She also wants to concentrate in Public Relations, she applied directly to the VPA school because she wants to possibly double major with music industry in the Setnor School of Music within VPA as well, she is more artistic in nature so that school was really right for her…Welcome to New York!

MTnest2 - My D financial aid package was pretty decent, she received $45, 738 total all need based aid. I decided to cancel two of her loans and take that on as well, I dont want her to graduate with a huge debt, as it stands right now she will have a $14,000 debt upon graduation and she is planning to go to graduate school as well so…you just have to ask yourself if the school is worth it for you.

When did the financial package arrive?

anonymouspinay-- Do you mind posting your stats? I’m also a filipina, applying as a transfer student. I’m aiming for Newhouse!
I’m an international transfer though… so yeah. :D
