And what/how did you write?

I got a 10...pshaw...

i got a 12... but not on the april 9... it was the sat

ACT and SAT are totally different for the essay.

Yeah. In six hours, had this been the ACT, this thread would be four pages long at least.

But I know you guys exist...somewhere, out there...

Got an 11. Here are a few of the comments I received, I don't know how generic they are...

"Your essay showed recognition of the complexity of the issue by partially evaluating its implications. General statements in your essay were well supported with specific reasons, examples, and details. Your essay was well organized, making it easy to understand logical relationships among ideas. Some varied sentence structures and precise word choice added clarity and interest to your writing."

All I did was kept it simple and concise, all general statements will solid evidence and details, and I provided a lot (a LOT) of personal observations and experience to support my thesis.

nice, good job, i got a lame ass 7.

Can a couple 11 or 12 scorers post up their essays? I got 12 for Mar12 SAT but 9 for Feb ACT. lol... I would really appreciate it if you guys could post them up =). Thank you!

are these online or did you get them in the mail?

They are online.

Hmm... I find it weird how they count the english composite twice. I got a 12 on the April ACT's writing subscore. The comment was "Your essay addressed the complexity of the issue by fully responding to counterarguments. Your essay effectively supported general statements with specific reasons, examples, and details. The logical sequence of ideas in your essay fit its persuasive purpose well." I couldn't believe I got a perfect writing score, but it didn't matter as I only got a 24 in english, so it balanced out to be a 27. (I only scored a 9 on my March 12 SAT essay). If only I could score a 12 on the SAT. Since my writing score seems promising... I might retake ACT which the registration is due tommorow.
