took 4 SATIIs, average about 750
will complete 7~8 APs by graduation

Did any of you visit the campus? I'm applying within 2 days..

I am an international student, so I haven't had the oppotunity to visit the campus..

I'm applying to the Institute of Technology, the Electrical Engineering program..

I applied. I don't know a whole lot about the place and I'm out of state but it's gotten a lot of good reviews.
I applied for architecture
~4.0, 1260, 24
Measly EC's

What do all of you think of the population? Isn't it the second largest school after UT? I wonder if that's a good or bad thing.

Applied and accepted with 1400 SAT and something like a 3.5 unweighted GPA.
It took about a month to get my acceptance packet in the mail after applying. Also received the 'Gopher Scholarship' for $5,000 a yr for all 4 years.

Minty, its the 2nd largest school population wise with 51k. Only ohio beats it by a mear 50-100 students. You're on the border line. ACT is a little below average, but the SAT is fine. However you have a great GPA, which will probably help you out big time.

The 2 hardest majors to get into are probably foresty and chemical engineering

As for H88, the IT is a great school, usually recruits kids in the top 15% of their class. It's not the best, but its in the top 20 for engineering. And the pay and job acceptance rates are good :)

for IT students (Institute of Technology)

The cut off is usually

High School Percent Tile + (SAT Score/Verbal Score divided by 10) = 195

I was accepted! My info is a few posts up. For anyone who knows..the out of state percentage is really low, do you think that would matter to a person from Kansas? Thanks

I applied and got accepted. 3.96 UW GPA and 1580 SAT I (800V 780M) and 800 SAT II Writing. No word yet on scholarships, but I have decided to register there. Hopefully I can get a suite in Middlebrook, but I'd be happy with a normal room, I suppose. I'll be majoring in political science. Hopefully I can get a good scholarship offer, but I'm from ND, and am not eligible for the biggest scholarships. I'm thinking it will probably cost me about $4000-5000 per year, but that's nothing next to what I would have to pay for an Ivy League school. I'll start with ~60 credits from APs, so I'll graduate a year early. I'm excited. I know it's a big place, but hopefully I'll see you guys, maybe we can hang out.

I am an international student.I applied there and got admissioned into the Institute of Technology (Chemical Engineering) with an International Students scholar Award worth $5000 (each year for 4 years). I have heard that the university's Chemical engineering programme is amongst the best in US. However, I am unable to make up my mind as I also got admissioned into Purdue University and Rice University, whose overall rankings are really high. I will really appreciate your advice in this regard.
