Who has been accepted to Columbia? and...

Could you please post your transcript information including your EC's? This should be good for everyone se we can all see what kind of people are admitted to Columbia and what are their typical EC's.

Any advice from current Columbia students or seniors who have been admitted woud be awesome. What do you think in your transcript turned the decision in your favor and did applying ED significantly raise your chances?

(I didn't notice Audioslave's post until after posting this; anyways, I am concerned with Columbia College, not any graduate school or SEAS)

Anyone? come on! Help out a stressed out junior.

I doubt that people are going to put their transcripts online

check out one of the decisions threads, and see who got in and who didnt.

I guess I should have searched the forum, like An0nym0u5 suggested, before I posted my thread. Anyway, here's the thread.

a few main parts of my ECs included 12 years of studying art under a professional artist (I supplemented a portfolio), president of Amnesty International, and president of california scholarship federation (meh for the last one). I've done some notable work for amnesty and the aclu outside of school. I'm an activist and I've exhibited art with professionals, but CU gets people who are far more impressive.

I can't tell you why I got in or whatever though...I don't know. Maybe they thought the above was impressive or they really didn't care. I have no idea. They don't send out explanations with your acceptances.

numbers, numbers, numbers:
1520 (m 720, v 800)
740, 740, 760
4.2 GPA
AP: 3,4,5

you got in because not alot of artists apply to columbia. and then you're also an activist. ("hook") and im sure you had a nice essay to be convincing about your uniqueness.

Thanks!

Now i will get back to studying.
