WHO HAS CALLED for an interview?

i read the other thread about calling for interview scheduling. but i'm still waiting for a call.......i think i will call them tomorrow or something. have you guys gotten any phone calls yet? i don't know which number to call!!

i emailed the woman in charge of alumni interviews- she says to wait till the 22nd

I got called yesterday...

I did nothing to get an interview...I just applied with the Common App.

i'm waiting too, but i'm not excessively worried because I already had a great on campus interview

thank you guys. i also applied with the common app. i got the eli paper a week ago. arg. 22nd?? i should wait then..

I just got a call an two hours ago....
I'm really nervous about it....
she seemed really nice though...sounded like a graduate student..

also...how much should I dress up??

me tooo! i just got a call like 5 mins ago!
i'm soooooooo excited. it was she! whosang, do you live in CA? i just feel like we got the same person~~ woo-woo- i'm so excited/beginning to worry a bit. my meeting is on sunday. near my house. o gosh.

she said it's going to be very casual.. but people recomended me not to wear jeans no matter what. yeah. good luck!

By the way - I read somewhere on these boards that if you don't make the first cut (go to committee), your app is tossed and your supplemental materials won't be looked at (recordings, art work etc.). Now, I know everyone is offered an interview, but I imagine if you don't make the cut (have they even started looking at apps yet?), you would be moved to the bottom of the interview pile and not be a high priority - any comments about that line of thought?

I don't think they've started judging applications yet so that theory wouldn't apply.

"I don't think they've started judging applications yet so that theory wouldn't apply."

They start reading applications once they come in and the deadline has passed

k, so i couldnt wait and i called my local director. he was very nice, his secretary called me the next day with my interviewer's number. i called HER, and she seemed nice, and we set up an appt.

Way to take initiative blurblurblur- I'm just happy I finally got my Eli code in the mail today...

You guys all applied ED, right? I, a RD applicant, won't get "the call" until december/jan?

No, Yale doesnt have ED. We're applying Single-Choice Early Action

Yeah, sorry. That's what I meant. When will RD applicants get notification, etc?

that thought scares me because i have not been contacted. i, however, did call my regional admissions director and she said that she emailed my interviewer. she also told me that if i didn't get a call by the 23 or 24th to let her know. so i don't really know if there are high priority and low priority interviews. i am sure of this because i called my local ASC director at least five times in the last three days, and he hasn't been home.

I haven't been contacted either but, not to sound cocky, I don't think my application is at the bottom of the pile. I'm not sure what the deal is but it sure seems like alot of people haven't been contacted.

D got an e-mail today from her alumni interviewer who noted that she was applying SCEA and they needed to meet soon since the report had to be to Yale by December 1st.

i got the call tonight....

Damit.. I emailed my admission officer yesterday and she told me there are no ASC members in the Netherlands... I really wanted that interview.... But hey life goes on, she also said she looked forward to reading my application! Does this mean they haven't start reading yet? or maybe she just forgot me..... ;) hope not.... good luck to all of you who DO get an interview (yes i'm jealous)
