Who has got into JHU with a below average UW gpa?

<p>My recalculated (for JHU) UW GPA is a horrible 3.54 (including only the core classes for sophmore and Junior year)) with 2 aps junior year and rest honors.My sats and my ECS are "average" and I'm not a URM. I can't comment on my essay because no one but the JHU admission officer's know what a good essay is or not. </p>

<p>Has there ever been anyone who got in even though they thought they had lower stats and they didn't see themselves as "special"? I know I should be realistic but at the same time, I sort of want to have some hope :/. </p>

<p>Johns Hopkins is honestly a school that cares less about grades and more about who YOU are. ED it if you really love them.</p>

<p>Pause & ask yourself how an AVERAGE is calculated. Some admitted applicants will be above it, and some admitted applicants will be below it.</p>
