I did not receive an email. I applied to Stern from South America.

I applied for CAS, and I got an invitation. I’m in Colorado.

insomniac159, this is a thread for those of us who did not get the email…there are other threads for people who did get the email…

Sorry… I just saw some people who had recieved them post so we could figure out if this is regional or in waves or school-related or whatever. Just trying to help…

I applied to Stein as a MusicEd major… I live in NY and nothing yet =

i didn’t get one for gallatin, but i also live in the city…?
i have no idea what this means haha

I applied for CAS and I live in Southern California. No email… I’m so upset right now.

Ok the people who are coming onto this thread and got the email are … (ugh). I mean obviously, the people on the thread know that emails were sent out and that people were accepted. Why do you guys feel like need to upset those already anxious, who came here to seek comfort from people in the same position they’re in.

Be considerate.

sigh…i’m an international applicant (Korean) from Hong Kong…i applied to stern and didn’t get any email as well
i think my school grades ( Predicted 43 IB points) and SAT II scores (800 Math II 750 Chem) are pretty solid…so i’m guessing its the poor SAT I (2070) that got me rejected probably then OTL

i’m just gonna assume i got rejected ( no email now probably means rejection) so it won’t be as when the real rejection comes

I’m just counting it being the first wave lol.

I feel like my stats were pretty decent at least compared to others who applied, my essays were solid, and ecs were great…so I am still hopeful.

Has anyone heard from Steinhardt?

hey guys, i just got my email a few minutes ago. don’t give up hope! i thought for sure i’d been rejected earlier.

i got my email an hour ago too. they are still coming :)

YEAH and bump for the exciting news (above two posts) that e-mails are still coming in!!! Maybe they’re just alphabetical. Maybe they’re by adcom regions, maybe they’re by date of application, maybe just in batches as they became decided/finalized. Who knows!? It’s just great that they’re still coming!

Parent here: Please do not lose hope. NYU is notorious for leaving people guessing and wondering because they do not do anything conventional. When my daughter was waiting for her acceptance from NYU, everyone else seemed to have gotten theirs, she was one of the lasts to find out and it was well into the 2nd week of April. It was an extremely, extremely anxious time fror her. She had missed the accepted students invitation, etc. This was before they used email for any notification. Remember they admit 4000 students out of approx 25,000 applicants.
Also, remember that admission ambassadors are students and sometimes they do talk out of turn, and say things they shouldn’t.

Stay positive. Do not lose hope.

I didn’t get this email-are we sure they’re coming out in waves? I’m so stressed-I really wanted to get into NYU :(

I applied to CAS and I haven’t received a letter. I think the school is a reach, some people have told me they think I have a good shot.

Anyway, I set up 3 different alerts in my mail program if I get an email from admissions@nyu.edu: The message will be labeled in violet, there will be a special alert sound, and the dock icon will bounce…

Despite having done that, I will be checking out every new email that comes in obsessively just to make sure there weren’t any false negatives…

… I need help :P

I applied to CAS from NY and haven’t received anything. I am pretty much on par with NYU’s standards, so I’m still not giving up. I completely agree about dying to be rid of all of the status/tab/email drama. Even if I don’t get into anymore schools, I feel like I’ll still feel so much better when this whole process is finally over.

still nothing :(

I live in california and i didnt get mine, but my friend got hers yesturday! so idk if they are doing it by regions.
