I didn't get the confirmation email... but I know they got my application cause I got an email about an interview

Damn, I was hoping for an interview. Did everyone who got an email about interviews get it before their confirmation?

what emails does brown send you?

hmm is it bad that i havent recieved ANYTHING from brown yet? interview or status or anything?

me neither!! :(

even im still waiting :(

Honestly, you all need to calm down.

The numbers I've heard is that Brown received more than 25,000 applications -- close to a 25% increase from last year. My area has seen a 30 percent increase. Give Brown a break, any organization would struggle to handle such a large increase.

Our goal is to interview 100% of applicants. Given the huge increase, there is a possibility that some areas may not be able to interview everyone.

Interviews are assigned by alumni volunteers. Each geographic area has an alum who assigns students to alumni interviewers. Some alums are faster than others to give out assignments; some interviewers are faster than others in contacting the applicants. Whether you've been contacted has nothing to do with your viability as a candidate, but has everything to do with the efficiency and speed of the alum in charge of your area.
