Jeb: I checked my email and it took them 22 days to get back to me about interviews after my personal data form was received.

BTW: Does Georgetown keep stuff from April? I sent my ACT to Georgetown in April. They would have received it Mayish. (I just used the free score report options.) I also sent them my June ACT score report (same score as April, ew, but slightly lower subscores). I didn't realize they might not keep April scores until tonight. I would email the admissions office but they don't work on weekends, right?

Yes, the admissions office will have your scores from April. However, it is important that you indicate on Part II of the application that you took the ACT on that date so that those scores may be matched up with your record.

okay i sent them an email with what i really would have put under special skills/talents, plus my ap scores, a list of awards like national merit, and my 3-page activities sheet. haha i wonder if this will help or work against me...

^^ Can you do that?

I'd like to send them my resume which has all my activities, awards, summer programs, etc. that I couldn't find place for on the application form.

^i dunno, i sure hope so. haha more likely i'll just seem like some arrogant prick but whatever. i'm pretty much resigned to not gettin in early at the moment...

Hahaha, tell me about it.

Applied EA SFS! Now I just have to wait!

Crap...I have to wait.

^^ yeah. Your post just made me realize that the next month and a half will be anxiety filled. When finals rear their ugly heads (images of cerberus come to mind) I will likely be distracted by the impending judgement day. oh well

Look at this way: none of us will be rejected! The worst thing that can happen is that we wait ... more ...

k thanks arduousspallor....I was getting a little worried about the interview stuff....

but the whole not getting rejected thing can drive you nuts too. i just wanna know sink or swim, do or die, if i'm in.
I wish they had ED so badly.

Yeah I would be happier if all schools had ED and not EA. I'm applying to EA schools, but ED usually increases chances so much more than EA. Of course, then HYP would get all ED applicants.

Does anyone know if Georgetown sends "likely" letters?
And when is the official date that we should be receiving their decisions? Is it Dec. 15th?

And just to echo a lot of other people's sentiments...yeah, no way I'm getting in early. Haha.

oooo i sent mine in yesterday and it felt so guuuuud haha to get it off of my chest =)
and i applied to SFS

and EA you find out dec.15th and hmmm same as everyone else, applying to gtown is rather funny for me cuz im 99% sure i wont get in. Unless they have a mistake in their system and accidentally admit me. =D

We will all get in because this thread is Fact and everything we say will be Fact:

We will all get into Georgetown EA for the class of 2013. ^_^

esgee: I don't know if Georgetown does it, but many schools send likely letters to (usually) athletes.

haha i applied EA but im pretty sure i won't get in.

Just sent it with an hour and a half to spare! Yes!

Will this not look good, or can the officers even see the time submitted? I would have submitted it a few days ago, but one of my teachers recommended I re-work one of my essays.

My confirmation e-mail begins with "Dear (last name)"....was anyone else's like this, or could I have possibly entered my last name where my first name was supposed to be on the app? I'm sure I couldn't have done that; I double-checked everything!
I guess I'm just paranoid. December 15 can't come fast enough!

Yeah, mine was Dear Ms. Last Name.

December 14 is my birthday. I think I shall par-tay and then cry.

Mine wasn't "Dear Ms. Last Name"; just "Dear Last Name". I found it odd, and I hope it wasn't a result of a careless error I made in the application.
Anyway, here's to everyone on CC having exciting news to report on the 15th of December!

^wait i didn't get one...how long after submitting your app did you get a confirmation email?
