Who has their mind made up?

So I decided today, after receiving my final decision letter, that I am definitely going to Pepperdine. Who else is planning on going/probably going?

It would be great to meet some people early on :]

I’m going 100% & already sent in the deposit. See you in the bu’!

Haha do you have facebook?

Yeah, facebook & myspace add me :P

I sent you a message.

Did you receive your financial aid letter by mail or e-mail or wavenet?

Thanks, Pepperdine is my daughters #1 choice and she got into 12 schools!

However, it hinges on $$$!
Good Luck to all! :)

I haven’t received financial aid information yet
Sorry.

No financial info here yet either.

I want to say Pepp for sure b.c its my dream school
But fin-aid is huge factor, because I have to pay for college all on my own (no help from parents, not like they could anyways). Im waiting on the fin-aid, and if it all looks good then for sure heading to Pepp. If things dont look good, im off to UCSD, which would be disappointing.

marebella, I’m sure you’ll get some good financial aid. I’ll be praying for you. If you need more, you could always write to them explaining the situation to see if they can offer you more. UCSD is also a great school.

Good luck :]

marebella,

my brother goes to pepperdine, he’s in his junior year there. He was in a similar situation as you. Our mom told him that he had to get at least 35,000 in financial aid and he ended up getting around 39,000 and was able to go… Pepperdine generally gives very good financial aid and I believe somewhere around 79 percent of those in need of financial aid receive their desired amount… Good luck!!

I think on their website it was 85%? I’m not sure though.

Thanks gwu_girl for the prayers, and xosammi for the encouragement.
Its hard having to wait for that fin-aid packet to come. But I will let you guys know on the forum how it works out when I find out.

You are very welcome. I’ll let you know when I get mine too :] Hopefully we’ll all be seeing each other in the Fall!

I’m going :P, lol i just have to keep my senior year grades up… two of my grades slipped to B’s already. damn senioritis ROFL. hmm, i can’t wait to meet you all!!! i’m gonna love this sooo much <3

Haha, I currently have one B  My quarter GPA is a 4.4.
Anyway, SamisonaWAVE, if you have facebook you should PM me the link or something :]

Im going there as well. which is surprising because my gpa was only 3.49. add me on facebook, William Johnson or myspace, Hayes Johnson

There are over 500 results for William Johnson. Wanna narrow it down?

oh my bad haha. william hayes johnson utah, juan diego catholic high school

Its not 100% set in stone (since i havent offically sent in my intent to enroll) but it looks like I’ll be going to Pepperdine!
Got the fin-aid info in an email today
Looks like UCSD and Pepperdine will cost me just about the same (within less that $1000 difference)
So basically Pepperdine trumps UCSD!
I think I will be able to pay for Pepperdine if I take out some loans, and the amount I have to take out doesnt completly terrify me, so thats great.
God has been very good to me :D

Congrats Marebella! I’m so happy for you. Pepperdine was completely out of reach for me, but now I think it is more accessible. I’d still have to take loans, but they wont be as large as I thought. =)
