Wow you freshmans are definitely getting the run around. I applied as a transfer late (at the end of march to be exact) and recieved an admissions decision in 1 week.

Honestly at this late stage I would be really worried, because registration for the Fall semester has already begun.

Kelly and eric, what schools did you apply to? I put sport mng first and whitman second. I probably won’t get into SM so i think that may have delayed it. Ive heard arts and science has give back acceptances pretty quickly

son got accepted this morning, no application admission form, but congratulations and financial aid. Not enough money to interest us, but nice to be accepted.

My d accepted to Newhouse and was just there. NO, they are not already doing registration. I double-checked with the university this afternoon. So, everyone, no need to panic.

@erikmoonwalks…yes, did you check your myslice?

@lanimer…my apologies, registration for new students hasn’t begun. I have friends that already go their and where talking about registration. So I assumed that it begun for all students.

^^^You def should call them because thats really crazy unless they mixed up your file w/ the incoming freshman pile. Hey you never, when too many people read your file, it sometimes gets misplaced, trust me its happen to me before.

ummmm I’m a transfer too, like erikmoonwalks, and I haven’t got my decision yet.
I assume they’re still to go through a bunch of transfers.
If they misplaced my file, well… that just makes me wanna burst into nervous laughter.
though i highly doubt it.
or atleast i hope it’s not like that.
fingers crossed
as may first approaches, you just KNOW the decision is around the corner.
aaargh.

What major did you apply for?
I applied Sport mng, business and then CAS third.

It says I can enroll on myslice, but I called on Friday and they said that it is not official until they send me an email. I got into the school, but It won’t make a difference if I dont get into sport mng or whitman… loosing interest though. I have to start paying fees for next year, and with not that much aid, it may not be worth it. only time will tell

architecture.
going by what erikmoonwalks said, if they accept transfers on a space available basis…ah well…then…it doesn’t look like it’s happening for me.
Syracuse architecture is competitive and I don’t really think anyone would wanna drop out.
also, this makes me a wee bit happier. I’m trying to look at it this way. They’ve not handed me my decision yet because they’re ‘waiting for someone to drop out’.
sigh
the things we do to amuse ourselves

They have been saying that since after the Jan 1 deadline. But it all depends on your major, because when I applyed the admissions woman told me that they had space left in CAS.

@wannagetout

You definitely have a tough shot but you never know, you may get waitlisted.

I am a transfer from Syracuse New York, and I applied to be a music ed major. I still haven’t heard back either. It was the only school I applied to since I wanted to stay close to home. I’m thinking the wait is a good thing if it is rolling on a space available, they are probably still waiting for a spot. Don’t forget how many people applied this year though! Who knows what’s going to happen. I’ll let you guys know when I hear!

I’m a transfer still waiting as well. Good luck, guys! I hope we find out soon. The only thing I’m worried about is housing if I am admitted. I hope there will be some left for us! And money!

The admissions woman I spoke to say that they will provide off campus housing but a good financial aid package is a reach. The deadline already past, so if you don’t have some scholarships, brace yourself. You will be getting left over money.
