<p>I have a question. How many of you got invited to stay-over program? Does it mean it is a good sign being accepted?</p>
<p>The stay over program should be independent of admissions.</p>
<p>UCI asked for my financial aid proof....does that mean I have a great chance for admission? Or financial aid has nothing to do with it? Because for other colleges that I got rejected, they never asked for my financial aid info</p>
<p>Why would they not admit you if they're asking for financial aid? I'm sure that's a good sign!</p>
<p>Hey, I've been on this cloud, totally shocked that I got into Irvine after getting rejected from Davis and UCSB, and I'm so excited to visit next week and take the tour. And now I found out that I got accepted to Cal today, with my stats. So I'm more and more convinced that the whole acceptance/rejectance thing is like the lottery. I just don't get it. But I guarantee, I'm seriously starting to believe there's something up there watching over me.</p>

<p>so i just checked and i am rejected. i honestly do not understand this at all.i thought i was a pretty sure bet for uci. i have a 4.3 wgpa, 1990 sat, 750,730 sat IIs, tons of ECs including additional classes taken at community college, competitive soccer, many jobs (i currently have 3 jobs), clubs, over 250 volunteer hours. i mean, i dont mean to sound proud, i just really wanted to get in, and i thought i was pretty safe looking at uci's general stats. i am OOS, if maybe that matters...i'm also a white female, not that that should really make or break someone. i just dont get it. i think i'm going to appeal. but who knows if that does anything. and if you do you probably don't get a decision until past the may 1 deadline for other schools, huh?</p>
