<p>You guys need to calm down and think straight. This says nothing about the UCI, all it says is that you are in a major that was either not looked at yet, or you are applying to an impacted major. Most likely, if your major was already reviewed you are going to be rejected. Each year from last year and for the next 3 years, 60,000 additional students will become highschool graduates, on top of those who are already graduating. That will be well over 200,000 kids that could potentially apply to colleges. The number of applicants to all schools for this year has increased a ton and that is probably the cause of the decision delay. Not every school is perfect when it comes to declaring admittance. I do send my condolences to those who have not heard yet.</p>

<p>nah! i dun hear alot of people declare crimelaw...ur actually the first person i ever met that has my same major...im sure its not impacted so its not a capacity problem</p>
<p>a couple of people i know applied criminology, and they've been rejected.</p>
<p>i think it might be an impacted major because UCI's one of the few schools in the nation that has it.</p>
<p>Still, i'd rather be accepted under my alt, than rejected flat out</p>
<p>i should have put gender studies or whatever and switched.</p>
