Who hates Homecoming?

Oops! I didn't realize how obvious I was! Hmm, it was a much longer post and I might have gone off and tried to do something else with it with a graph and yadada but just deleted most of it!

In short - 2 sentences would've worked and more importantly, I feel dumb.

:(

school dances are the worst for deaf people... i cant talk to anyone cause its too loud, i cant hear the beat of the music that well (but i cant dance anyway lol), and im just bored... standing in the same spot with random friends who i cant talk to.. attempting to dance.
each yr my school has one so-so dance (called the senior mixer, open to all classes) that evryone goes to. the rest are like known for being really really bad dances (no one goes, bad music, no food!). so i go to the mixer (its actually this thursday). mainly to steal food/ stare at hot guys lol

You mean, like a hamster hoarding nuts and seeds into its pouches and looking for potential mates?

Yeah, I do that at lunch but, I'm literally speechless when I approach one of them and then, sometimes freeze, with incisors in full view, - I'm sure you've had a similar experience - mathemagician, whose post I am currently addressing.

But hey! That's just me.

hahahahaha yes i guess im a hamster

I actually like homecoming... most of my friends come to the game wasted and do something idiotic but funny... everyone is there... monster parties afterward where some girl gets drunk and naked... whats there not to like??

I see homecoming dances as a just a quick prelude to a very fun after-party.

I don't hate homecoming. It's fun. It's not the greatest high school experience (by far), but it's a chance to get with your friends. Besides, how much of the fun actually happens during the dance? At my school, homecoming is really just an excuse to do fun stuff before and after the party while you're all dressed up.

I do, however, hate PAYING for homecoming. And prom. Ughh... Prom especially, I'm paying for it the second time around this year... limo rental, tuxedo rental, tickets, etc.

Wish me luck though, I've been nominated for Homecoming King...

whatever, it's just a stupid dance, i go to dances they're alright, you have an okay time, i mean if you payed to go, why the he** would you just stand there, it's a waste of money if all you do is stand or sit and just look at others, so it all depends on the person, if you make them fun, but other then that i never do expect much from dances that way i'm not dissapointed

I went to our homecoming dance this past Friday. I truly regretted it. See, at my school, homecoming is not a formal or even semi-formal dance like it is at many schools. It is just another "school dance" given a formal name. I think regular school dances are more middle school, when everyone went and it was a BIG DEAL to go. Now the only dances that I look forward to and NEED TO GO TO are the semi-formals and formals like this year, junior prom, and next year, senior catillion. And let me tell you, having a date makes it SO MUCH more fun... well I guess it also depends on who the date is.

bump
but I'm also not that big of a dancer if I'm just with my friends cause I feel like I'm being watched and being judged.
But when I'm dancing with my date, I guess it's more exclusive and I actually dance, which could be why it's more fun for me.
