I do it without shaving cream all the time. Just use soap instead. It's cheaper and there is really no difference (you get cut the same number of times, about, for example).

I usually don't use shaving cream, and sometimes I don't even use water. I cut myself once but it didn't really hurt. It was just annoying trying to stop the flow of blood.

Hmmm, I think I started shaving back when I was 15 or so in order to comply with my school's dress code. Used cream once back then and found that I didn't really need it, so I've just done it clean in the shower maybe twice a week ever since (though if it's bad and I'm lazy I do it out of the shower without even bothering to wet it, haha). Never cut myself either; no clue how other people cut themselves, for that matter -- I've used crappy 12 pack dollar store razors and the more expensive 6 bladed ones and have gotten a very close shave in 30 seconds or so flat without a single incision, ever, lol.

Worst experience shaving was when I decided to shave my pubes with the aforementioned cheap razors and lack of cream and the region itched for a week or so afterward, haha. If I ever go for another attempt I might just take a few extra precautions, lol.

uh, i have no facial hair to shave, so going by this thread, I'm abnormal at 16 and male.

great...

lol moodrets

hahaha moodrets, never use cheap razors on sensitive areas!

im 18 and i dont have to shave that much..

it takes me a whiile to grow facial hair but sideburns....fffs ill have shaved them completely smooth nearly at my hairline and in 2 or 3 days i have full sideburns again

waxing ftw.
(or veeting)

I fail at shaving.

I've never cut myself, but I'll shave and there will be a bunch of hair on my razor, but my face won't look any less haired (lol). I think I have invisible hair that only becomes visible when shaved in addition to the visible hair.

So sometimes it takes me like 30 minutes when I don't even have that much hair.

^ 30 minutes??! wow

I don't mind all that much. My facial hair does not grow quickly and it is blond so it is not very noticeable. I use an electric shaver. It does not take a long time.
Same here (except for the electric shaver part). I usually only shave when a few darker hairs start to grow out and it looks weird.

Yep, same here.

I always shave without cream, and I have never been cut before. I don't know what the deal is, but I barely grow any hair on the sides of my lips for the goatee, and I have always wanted to try one.

I really don't have much facial hair (I'm 15), so I haven't started shaving.

I've shaved my legs for about 3 years... When I started playing volleyball year round, winter stopped affecting the amount of time I went between shaves, lol. Spandex highlights gross leghair.

bumpjnijnh

I shave occasionally. I just let the hair grow on my cheeks and chin. It's blonde, so it isn't that noticeable. My mom for some reason makes me shave my upper lip, so it looks like I'm growing muttonchops, lol

I'm a pretty hairy dude everywhere except on my face. Luckily I only have to shave on occasion, but it's still annoying.

i've never touched a razor in my life, but its weird, i dont have any facial, hair, but i have a forest down there....

Perhaps you're not a man.

I hate shaving, and I started when I was like 15. Well, they say African-Americans aren't supposed to shave, but trim. I got nasty razor bumps when I was younger. Now I just trim. But when I let it grow out people think I'm a college student. I would let it go, but it's so damn itchy!

changofchina: TMI.

Anyway, Veet is amazing. I use that a lot. But I don't do much of that or even shave in the winter. My legs are as hairy as a freakin wolf. It's bad.
