over the last 4 years, more than 40 people from my high school have applied to columbia, but not one person has gotten in. is there any college that never accepts anyone from your high school?

UK university, but Cambridge rejected all the applicants from my highschool this year.

There's a running gag at my school that only one person gets into Harvard every three years at my school.

Although MIT might love my school, seeing as how three of my peers got in this year.

STANFORD

Last year, 0 went to Stanford, 53 went to Berkeley, and 41 went to UCLA. 0 in early this year... I guess we're too close...?

I'm not sure if any college hates my school, but UNC loves it. Basically the top 100 students from each class get accepted. (At least it seems like it, realistically about 40-45 kids get accepted.)

thats a misrepresentation of stanford. cal and ucla are public so they admit much lower qualified students and ur in state and accept more students in general so thats not surprising at all

Princeton

people have gotten into Harvard, Yale, MIT, Stanford, but never Princeton...at least not in the past few years....

amen to razzlegrl.
princeton hates us.

people go to harvard, mit, yale, cit, stanford (about 11 got in last year), 120 got into berkeley, 163 got into UCLA, and the list goes on and on.

yeah amazing huh?
our school is a scary place.

ROFLROFL

okay

nobody gets into Ivies from my school.

like, nobody.

I think a couple people every two or three years apply to like, Dartmouth and Yale.

But nobody goes.

We have some of the lowest SAT scores ever.

@ aaron981

I am assuming you are in-state for UNC, right? My school gets about three to five accepted to UNC in-state every year. Poor, inner city, minority school. Very fun. ;)

Georgetown rejects everybody from our school.

Wow, I totally forgot about Georgetown. But I think they hate this region more than just my school; a kid I know mentioned how his interviewer said that this area was underrepresented...

Yes, I'm instate. My school is mostly middle class, however there is a noticable population of upper class. The entire school applies to UNC every year it seems. :)

According to Newsweek our school is 73rd or 76th in the nation (and like 6th in the state), however those rankings are obviously not completely reliable.

There is a ton of mystery surrounding certain people who get in (as in ranked 70th in the class, 1650 SAT scores, and average ECs).

People going to ivies at my school?noooo never...I would be surprised if half of the people at my school know what the hell a Ivy League is.lol

gtown, harvard, and unc all hate my school, but cornell loves it

wow. um so my school is probably a bit better than most of yours, because although as always a ton of people apply, at least a few get in. it's not really ever 0 people getting in unless less than 15 people apply.

here's the worst one from last year. applicants for Brown: 49. acceptances: 1. (previous year they took 3 though)

Elon and Washington and Lee hate us! This year it might change with Elon though

UNC hates my school, according to last year's senior class. But they kind of sucked a lot, so I'm not so sure how much I believe them. We're also OOS, so that plays into it. University of Chicago apparently didn't much like our seniors either.

No one from my school has ever been accepted at Stanford, but then again, I don't know if anyone has ever applied :P. Same for MIT. Over the past 8 years, we've had 2 go to Harvard (brothers), 2 to Yale (also brothers), and 1 to Princeton. Hey, I just realized... no girls from my school have gone to HYP in the past at least 8 years. I need to change that :P.

Princeton... we got somebody in there for the first time in YEARS last year. And we've sent one person to Stanford in something ridiculous like the last... seven years? But not very many people apply.

Harvard usually takes a couple, as does MIT, and we sent seven people to Cornell last year, I think.

harvard. last year's val admitted across the ivy league +stanford/rice but denied to harvard. nobody's gotten in there. ever.
