Who here actually likes Ke$ha?

obviously her lyrics aren’t the best or deepest, but the beats are catchy. it’s a nice break from, say, rachmaninoff all the time

^I think there’s a TON TON TON TON TON of ground between Ke$ha and Rachmaninoff…Haha :P

hahaha, that’s definitely true  it’s nice to have a break from being all… civilized/stick up the bum all the time, though… guilty pleasure?

… you guys are making me feel bad, at least i don’t listen to justine bieber.

Blah blah blah has some pretty wince-worthy lyrics lol…but her stuff in general is really dancy and outrageously upbeat. Plus the lyrics don’t take much brainpower to memorize. :)

Her voice…isn’t great, but it adds to the kind of music she does, I suppose. Although I wouldn’t exactly say I’m a fan either. Ah well.

Ke$ha’s…fun. I like her music, as in I don’t get annoyed by it.

In some way she serves as a role model to me because she is so intelligent.

^^That’s what I think, exactly :]

I saw her live at Bamboozle last Saturday. She was pretty bad (really bad), but I heard her performance was a lot better the second night.

I dunno. I’ll listen to a few of her songs if it’s playing on the radio, and some parts of her lyrics are pretty awesome/funny lol. I don’t think people will remember her in a few years time, though.

tik tok really annoys me

blah blah blah is a bit nicer…

Why does it always have to be about lyrics? Her voice is annoying at times, she sings and talks likes she’s drunk. But her songs are upbeat, that’s the point to enjoy it.

Before you jump my throat, let me just say that I am a fan of good music just like the rest of you.

HOWEVER, I do think that it’s important to enjoy some upbeat, not-so-masterfully-written-or-sung music once in a while. Because although we all do enjoy well-thought out tunes, it’s also fun to listen to music that’s not so serious as well.

So even though I think Ke$ha’s nasty and not very talented, I still find her “music” catchy and fun, so I listen to it. But I know when it’s time to listen to something with substance, as well. :)

She’s like a white blonde version of T-Pain with ****tier lyrics, not to say T-Pain’s lyrics are good.

Damn that woman for making catchy music.

^If that’s catchy music, then please by all means soil yourself.

I wanna say get over yourselves. I mean, I’m not that big a fan but she’s not so terrible and it’s nice to listen to when just chilling with friends on a Saturday being goofs. You guys actually analyze her lyrics?

Her and Lady GaGa are cool in my book.

I don’t know, I guess I have an issue with people that just scorn pop music for being pop music. It’s just fun music, nothing that serious, but it’s fine the way it is as something to listen to when in a ridiculous mood. If you’ve never been in that mood then sorry and just keep hating pop.

Most of her music is very good to dance to, which makes her better than Lady Gaga as far as I’m concerned.

I too don’t understand the hate for popular music. Maybe it doesn’t bother me as much because I don’t listen to the radio and only hear it at dances/parties, but it honestly doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.

It’s because all music now sounds almost exactly the same, and covers the same precise topics, which are none other than sex, drugs, and alcohol.

@MattNC that’s actually incorrect. Not all songs that are popular cover those topics. Pop music is meant for the general public, and isn’t supposed to be heavy in artistry. If that were the case won’t all music be that same since they all kinda follow the same topics?

Music has been covering the topics of sex, drugs, and booze since people began beating on rocks and drinking booze. Don’t act like it suddenly turned to crud, it’s always been this way and always will.

yeah i really doubt she even writes her own music

^Well whoever does is an idiot regardless.
