Who here applied ED?

Thanks again!
also I’m from Louisiana and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of competition down hear to get into NYU. Does anyone know if being from Louisiana can increase my chances versus being from say a northeastern state?

Probably, if it is an under-represented state.

Justspice, what are your stats like?

I’m going CRAZZZYY!

Do accepted ED students get e-mails earlier than rejected? Because I know that the regular decision students definitely do.

I’m SO SCARED.
I check cc and my e-mail and all these random nyu things 24/7.
crappppp,
I read somewhere that accepted get emails 14-15 and rejected 16-17. someone please clarify?

thats the hope.

omg come the 15th im going to be FREAKING out!!! but people said they got their acceptance letters later then the 15th too!

well its by email this year so hopefully it gets sent out in one big batch? idk. email seems easier to do then mail but who really knows.

Apparently people are being told that the e-mail is coming Dec. 15, so hopefully that means everybody’s are? I don’t really see the reason for holding the rejected students any later, but I also don’t really see the reason for not sending out letters sooner than the 15 either :/

A likely? That’s so exciting! Congrats! But, just out of curiosity, do you know what the “stamps” are? Likely? Unlikely…?

Oh a likely doesn’t apply to normal applications, so you guys don’t need to worry about it. What I meant is that the head coach of my future sport called me and said my application was indicated on his recruit report as being an “A+”, which means likely admit. The other so-called “stamp” is an “A-”, or unlikely admit.

I think this means that all the decisions are done, though. He didn’t have my decision earlier in the week, and right after LSP decisions are starting to be sent out he finally has word of it.

I’m so nervous.
My SAT scores are below Mid-50.
I have a good GPA though and my Tisch audition went well.

Cornell and Upenn all sent emails telling ED applicants the exact dates that they’ll be receiving their decisions… Cornell even gave a specific time and time zone… I wish NYU would do that :D

Oh my gosh, this wait is killing me! I just hope I get a LSP letter…hopefully acceptance. Ugh this wait sucks!

justspice - congratulations my friend! stern is a fantastic school - i would kill to be in your shoes! good luck and enjoy it! xo

Everytime I wake up in this Asian country time zone, before brushing my teeth is to check on college confidential site for news… Im damn anxious now guys ><its getting worse and worse…zomg

Gah I know what you mean! But soon enough, all of our anxieties will be relieved! 11 days!

Good luck guys. I will be in your all’s shoes 1 year from now. Good lord. I’m already anxious,

chance me?

i go to a religious private school in NYC
took very rigorous classes we dont have APs
GPA 3.5
ACT 31
NYU supplements and college essay – very strong and right up NYUs ally with globalism stuff
teachers recs very very good
extra currics- great and up nyu’s ally.

I applied to CAS as a french/linguistics major. I thought id be LSPed primarily because of the low GPA. I guess my chances now are CAS or bust.

Another thing: do we think there are more waves of lsp emails to be sent?

@vandysapple, you seem to have a good shot to me. My stats are similar, and I kind of thought I might be LSP’d, but I haven’t gotten the letter  They didn’t send all the LSP letters on the same day, so it’s possible there may still be more?

The LSPs were emails, so there is no postal delay. I have a feeling they are done sending them because the whole point of sending them early is so you have more time to think…but who knows.

@Tess8578, what are your stats exactly? What major did you select in CAS? Seems like a lot of people were lsped with these type of stats: 2100 or 31s with similar GPAs but they are like economics majors which id say are definitely some of the more competitive applicants.

I have a feeling they are done with lsping, but i heard that once they are finished and close to sending out all decisions lsp might need more admits so they might change some things around. I would assume those of us who were not lsped are NOT going to be.

best of luck
