Who here applied ED?

anika011 - Yes, once you submit your application you cannot change it. However, the common app online does allow different versions to be created. Go to your common app and click on “Instructions”. Then select “Application Versions” and follow the instructions there.

Thank you very much AudredyH! I appreciate it :)

congrats LillyC!

hey everyone! I got into lsp on Thursday and I’m a little confused over some things. the email said that I have 3 weeks to decide whether I want an official acceptance letter/folder, and I already confirmed that I wanted it. but does that mean I MUST attend nyu now? because I want to apply and hear back from other schools first… or do I actually have until april to decide if I want to go to nyu? thanks , any help is appreciated!

No you don’t have until april to decide! You must accept or decline your LSP within the next 3 weeks (as said in the email). If you accept the LSP offer, you MUST attend NYU. If you decline the LSP offer, you will have to wait till april to see where you can go.

alrighty here are my stats in broad terms:
female
3.65 gpa, 3.9w
1950 sat
won in school writing honor
president of two clubs, member of 3 or 4 others
other ECs like service trips, conferences, etc.
editor of my school’s lit magazine
took a college course this semester, did well
assuming good recs, both teachers liked me so…
and the most important thing- strong essay and supplement answers. I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but these were the only two things on my app I felt really confident about.

good luck everyone!

what would be the cut-off for CAS applicants who get LSP’ed?
I though above 1900+ is likely-in for earlydecision applicants, but after reading recent posts about LSP, I really concerned…

There were only two people on this thread who’ve been lsp’ed…I think that it might be one weak area in the application, (like one section of the sat) but otherwise great applications that caused these people to be LSP’ed. but congrats to all lsp’ed!! I envy your acceptance…

SO I applied ED for Tisch Acting and I’m so freaking nervous! Anyone on same boat!?

I’m definitely in the same boat! I mean I applied to Stern but as far as being nervous we’re on the same page

Anyone ED Stern?
A lot?
?? Can everyone post stats?

@LillyC first off, congrats! and secondly, what school and major did you apply to?

I applied ED to Stern!

I’m a white male from Louisiana. (don’t know if location matters)
I have a 3.91 gpa unweighted. (my school doesn’t do weighted)
34 ACT
2190 SAT
National Merit Commended
I was really involved in extracurriculars. (but I’m too lazy and tired to list them all out hear)
Went to a week long leadership workshop in D.C. the summer of my freshman year.
This past summer I participated in the TCU High School Investor Challenge (go to TCU and take finance/business classes and compete in a year long stock competition)
I also spent 4 weeks in Spain this past summer at an immersion school and living with a host family.

Since the stats are up can y’all tell me y’all’s opinons on if I’ll get accepted or not?
Thanks!

Windy you look good to get in! btw what was your sat breakdown if u don’t mind me asking?

not a problem.
i got a 770 on the math
700 on reading and
720 on writing

does anybody know which two it is that they use when post numbers out of 1600?

The math and reading are the 1600 totals; 2400 includes the writing section.

Math/Reading

@windy It’s reading and math. And @itstime I applied EDI to CAS and I’m definitely freaking out! 9 more days! (or 7 hopefully…)

@hayleyelisa…
I TOTALLY KNOW THEY’VE ALREADY DECIDED! I just wish they’d let us know! And especially for Tisch… cuz they know by your audition day if they want you or not you know? urgh!

What major did you put down?

The most nerve-wracking part is not knowing when the email is going to come. What if I check my email between classes and find out during school? What if I scream and dance in the hallways… or have a total breakdown and cry?

The next ten (almost nine) days might kill me. Every time my grandma has called during the past six weeks, her first question is, “How many days?” It’s crazy!
