<p>Haha, no, nothing has happened. After I read all of these posts by other people and everyone else’s stats, I just KNOW that I will not get in. Oh man, this waiting period will soon come to an end, thank god.</p>

<p>Really? You guys are starting to get me a little excited over here now lol. All the letter talked about was school-based community service, something about a diverse student community, and the last page was about first year residential experience. I got it on Thursday though, which is pretty early so I don’t think it means a whole lot. At the same time it’s a little weird for sending something like that so late since I didn’t get LSP’d.</p>
<p>Guys, Tisch film isnt about stats. You guys stand as good a chance as anybody else does.</p>

<p>For my portfolio, as mentioned from the very begining, I wrote a dramatic scene for Film. I also got some nice letters of recs so i hope that helped during the admissions process. I was also pretty satisfied with my essays so yeah…I’m your average joe. :/</p>
<p>The ones that got sent out today could have been a glich. That has happened on numerous occasions with other schools that do emails not snail mail. Sometimes a computer error sends them too early. For example, this year penn state released 700 acceptances too early. I bet the most likely thing is those people who got in dont know too much about LSP, and since LSP is taught through CAS or whatever, they were confused. </p>
<p>My counselor told me emails go out on Dec 15–literally that’s what she said, no funky wording, no BY dec 15, near dec 15, after dec 15, she said ON.</p>
<p>@grigg–Tisch is totally accepting of low par grades and stuff if your portfolio/writing is good. I wouldn’t worry. And your GPA isn’t THAT low, especially for Tisch. For example, a kid from my HS class of 2009 got into NYU film with a 3.5 WEIGHTED gpa, mediocre portfolio film (so-so documentary), average NYU SAT scores (1850-1950), and the average inexperienced film resume.</p>

<p>I honestly doubt the emails mean anything. I think they just have to do with different email lists after information requests.</p>
