@itsme33: better than somewhere in the tristate area, not quite as good as a middle-of-nowhere state due to all the chicago kids to apply. but i have a friend from skokie, IL who got in, so don’t fret too much

LOL, this site is not good for our self-esteem.

probably not, but oh well. what school are you applying to?

yeah it is a great self esteem booster haha but it is nice to be able to talk to people going through the same angst and uncertainty

@itsme33
i completely agree. if it werent were this site and you guys freaking out with me I think I would have gone crazy. Everyone at my school is so calm about their early decision schools, I feel like I’m running around with my head cut off. But hey less that 42 and a half hours left!

ANYONE tell me what specific school they’re applying to (please?)

couple Sterns and rest are others. Majority should be CAS and Tisch

I applied to gallatin
the long ranger, haha.

CAS Econ :)

nice to “meet” you all! NYU>Tisch>Drama>Production&Design

@dinosgomoo do you know what you are interesting in majoring in? I was trying to decide between Gallatin and Tisch but I ultimately decided on Tisch because if I don’t like it I figure it’d be easier to switch from Tisch to Gallatin than vice-versa. Gallatin looks so cool, though…good luck!

so anyone else smile widely whenever they hear Empire State of Mind by JayZ and Alicia Keys? lol i do.

^ OMG ME!!! I’ve played that song so many times since I applied to NYU :D

Been listening to that song almost everyday for the past week. And what’s all this y’all are saying about kids EDing at yall’s school? We only had 3 or 4 kids ED to schools this year from my high school and my counselor said that was the most she’s ever had. Is that an unusually low number?

playing it over and over

i don’t even know how many my school has, there are four that i know of, two to NYU and two to Brown

I come from NY city, so I kind of got sick of the song after hearing it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER during New Years Eve BLASTED FROM MY NEIGHBORS APARTMENTS AT 3 AM.

But I’ve been humming the older song of “New York, New York~”

“If you can make it here, you’ll make it anywhere~”

@megakel
Right now I’m really interested in combining journalism, internatinal relations, comparitive literature, and middle eastern studies somehow.

OMG! Anytime I see or hear anything NYC related I smile. It’s reached a level obsession. I watch Cash Cab sometimes just to see parts of the city.

There’s an unusually large amount of students at my school. Usually it’s not much but I know of at least 30 that have. I have a friend who got into Dartmouth already, a friend who got into Gtown, one for Mizzou, some others. My best friend just got accepted to Hofstra today, I gotta say I’m jealous. (Not of the school, not that it’s bad, but just because she gets to know already!!!)

yeah that song is the meaning of my life right now im so obsessed with it till i hear if i got in. ahhh craziness but yeah we had idk about 8 people apply ed to schools 5 got on to northwestern at my school then i applied ED to nyu and then some kid applied to yale i wanna say.

So basically I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe because we are the most obsessed people with the school, seeing as we post on CC everyday about our worries, maybe thats why it seems like everyone is so much better than expected. I’m sure the 20 of us who post on here are some of the better students of the 3000 who applied, so maybe we shouldn’t be so worried about our stats and such? Idk… I’m tryin to be hopeful

there were 7 at my school
one to reed, two to stanford, one to northwestern uillinois and umich, one to caltech and mit, and one to occidental at my school
