Who here applied ED?

Yeah, I’ve been trying to channel my obsessive energy towards looking/apply ing for scholarships, but it keeps seeming to find it’s way back to the NYU channel…

So where are you guys going to apply if you get denied by NYU? I’m feeling Carnegie Mellon ED II.

I have Pace, SUNY Purchase, Rutgers (Mason Gross), Montclair, and Marymount Manhattan.

I already got accepted to Loyola Chicago, and I applied early action to U of Michigan. I was planning to apply to Boston University too, but I never got around to finishing the supplement and I don’t know if I will be mentally able to in a couple weeks haha.

I am applying to UW-Seattle, Penn State, WSU, and MU.

Oh, I’ve got Penn State too. But if I don’t get in, I’ll probably apply for transfer next year.

Ugh, I haven’t been able to concentrate at school because of this wait either.

@sasasa
I called a CMU admissions officer and he said we can’t EDII to CMU because we wouldn’t get our decision (mid-December) until after we apply to CMU EDII (early December), and that’s against the ED agreement.

On-topic:
I’m feeling University of Rochester, SUNY Binghamton, and SUNY UBuffalo.

I thought CMU EDII deadlines weren’t till Jan 1st? Guess I was wrong lol.

I’ve already applied to few backups (ea- UConn, Fordham, Northeastern-more of a match imo than a backup) and one reach (ea- UChic), but other than UChic and maybe Northeastern, I really don’t want to go to any of those schools. Kind of a waste now that I think of it lol.

Im applying to Boston University too! I started the sup on common app… yeah haven’t gotten around to actually finishing that… hmmm… should get on that… lol

Already got into UTex, also applying to Northwestern and George Washington.

Applying to UBC (which I’ll definitely get into… because I live here :D), McGill, University of Toronto, University of Hong Kong, USC, Barnard, and Boston College  But I’ve been putting it all off until I hear from NYU :S AHHHHH

Yeah, I’ve put off actually submitting all of mine (except UT’s, whose deadline is December 1st) until I hear from NYU…ugh I’m so paranoid about it now, all I can think of is all the thing’s that could’ve gone wrong with my application that would prevent me from getting in…ugh this is SO UNHEALTHY.

UCBerkeley baby! Still haven’t done the freaking essays for the UC app and it is due in a week! Kill. Me. Now.

Gah I actually need to do these apps.

UWashington, Wash St., Tulane (already doneeee thank goodness), Boston College CAS, Georgetown CAS, Northwestern, Penn, Columbia, Williams, William and Mary, USC.

Gulp. I really hope I do not need to submit the apps for these schools. Except for Tulane of course, since I’ve already done it.

Seriously, this wait is killing me. I am losing sleep over this! I really just need to know if I got in or not so I can move on with my life!

@itsme yeah every weekend I tell myself that I am going to finish the supplement and write my scholarship essay…never happens haha. Only about 3 weeks left  soooo nervous!!

Ugh I’m so paranoid, I keep emailing one of the admissions counselors about random things I’m worried about and he’s so nice about it! I would be so annoyed if I were him haha. Great faculty…just makes me want to go that much more…ugh.

Is there any chance we could ask for our decisions earlier? I mean, that would kill the whole point of the application system, but say we emailed a counselor on the 1st?

On a side note, if I get denied by Stern does anyone think I should retake SAT’s or take Math Level II for other business schools? I can’t decide. Currently 2130 SAT (750 Cr, 730 Math, 650 Writ - 1480).

it makes no sense that we would find out Dec 15 this year when they are emailing, when in the past people found out Dec 15 in the mail (which obv takes longer to process, longer to package, and longer to be received). Also, they may have a smaller applicant pool for ED this year because they added ED II. Maybe we’ll find out a little earlier, like around 12/10.

I think if we email them and even if they had already made a decision but hadn’t emailed out the decisions… they would politely decline our requests  They probably copy and paste those emails too because so many of us will ask haha
Well… people HAVE sometimes gotten their letters by December 13th… December 10th? maybe? :D
