Who here has ditched class?

The last week of school I pretty much didnt go to class the second half of the day everyday, administration saw me but they know me well so they didnt do anything. So have you ditched before? Did you get caught?

I’ve technically ditched (I didn’t go to a class and I wasn’t excused) but they were both on half days, the last two days of school this year, and I didn’t leave campus. I skipped the same class both times (Culinary Arts).

I ditched one time. I was using first lunch to help with student council activities. When second lunch started I was walking to class when I left my books outside. I went back to get them and realized wasn’t going to make it to class on time. I didn’t want to get a detention so I played it off like I had permission to work during second lunch. Then our school does attendance every period, so I had to get a pass from the office to go to the period after that so I would avoid trouble.

Hahaha, ditched so many times.
I don’t usually get caught. I got caught once but played really dumb and played the right cards so I didn’t get in trouble.

This past school year, my history teacher never noticed when I was there so I just didn’t go to class for like 95% of the time. I still ended up with an A-

In Japanese, my teacher didn’t care as long as we finished the work. Which I did. In like 3 seconds.

Skipped Chemistry , Aice psychology, ap psychology any chance i got
i had A+s in all of those classes too

When i didn’t skip i fell asleep

All the time. Well, not really - I always just went to the library to either complete work from other classes, or just mess around on the computers. I’ve never actually left school, though, and I’ve never left class without permission from the teacher first. I’m not sure if that still qualifies as ditching, but whatever. I only left during the joke classes, though; I’d never leave during the more serious classes, like Spanish and Math, or the fun classes, like AP Euro or PE, unless there were substitutes in those classes.

No. I almost ditched Film first semester because it was the last day and I was dropping the class anyway, but I got too scared. I’ve purposely slept in and have been late to 1st period before but not without my parents permission.

I’ve left class cause I didn’t want to be there before.
But I always got permission, and was usually working on a club or something

All the time. And I play basketball, so it’s the perfect excuse for classes where the teacher likes me too much to think I can do any wrong and actually check. The majority of basketball players all skip the same period and we like go to Chick-fil-a and get food then go back. Because we are such a successful team, no teacher or admin cares what we do as long as we won our last game. All of my classes are easy enough to get a high A in as long as you read the textbook, so I just do a chapter of one subject a night and still am in the top 1% of my class of almost 600.

It’s impossible to get off campus without a note (there’s one entrance/exit manned by a security guard), but I usually end up skipping an entire day once or twice a trimester. I don’t usually skip individual classes though.

I’ve skipped school but I’ve never ditched class. (there’s a difference right?)

I have done it sometimes, never gotten in trouble for it. It’s funny considering how during class a bunch of people are outside with their backpacks just wandering around, right where the assistant principals and the faculty can see them. Most of them don’t get caught.

I skipped class whenever there was a project due the next day and I hadn’t finished it. Or when there were AP exams. My parents were always complicit in this and would actually call in sick for me.

I have one “mental health day” per semester where my mom will call me out even if I could go. Normally it’s if I have a lot of projects due

I find it funny how some of you guys consider it ditching even if the teacher approves/ its for a club, and lots of you will only ditch to do hw lol.

I left a project at home so I pretended I had to go to the bathroom and just left for the last half of the class when I had to present. Then the next day I presented it. Pretty sure I got a 100. lol

Anyway, a good way to not get caught in the halls by yourself is by carrying your agenda/hall pass/whatever the faculty looks for. Then you look like you have somewhere to be.

You guys are so naughty…

I don’t skip class because I’m a good boy.

Sophomore year. French. Ditched.

I regularly skipped debate, APUSH, and AP Macro. No need to go to the classes since I already do well in them, and I prefer to help out my chemistry teacher with her honors classes (teaching the class is fun) and so is helping out my favorite teacher.

How do you skip? What do you do? Do you drive off campus or something? That seems too daring…

Or do you just go to the library? I suppose you could pretend you have a music lesson…?
