Who Here Has "reviewed-decision Pending"

Use this thread to say if your status changed to "reviewed- decision pending", also if in next couple weeks, if that changes let everyone that has same status know on here

That why we have a clue when they tell everyone else their decision

omg coolest thread ever. i've had this for almost three weeks, and my midterms haven't even arrived!

anyone know what decision pending means??

What I want to know is what it says if you are rejected.

lol
i still have Further Review Required
so is reviewed-decision Pending the next step?

im further review required as well. i really want to know what they do in case of a rejection. do they just leave it at that and then eventually send a letter, or will they actually tell you online?

well i had further review required for two weeks but then i got accepted:) so dont worry

For everyone who has this status: does McGill have your semester grades??

I'm not even sure if my semester grades have been sent yet :(

yes, mcgill has my semester grades, they were faxed and received last week. however, just today they listed the reception of the recommendations that i sent, which is odd because i had my teachers send those really early in the year.

im really worried because at least two people at my school have gotten in...one probably will end up going and the other is definitely going to attend. my grades were faxed a little later than the rest of the senior class's at my school though because i needed two grade changes, which took forever. so im hoping that's why i havent heard, and that i will soon.

ps: i talked to the guy that got in at my school, he said he checked his email and there was a message from mcgill saying that a decision had been made and then it listed it on the site. im not sure if this is done for everyone, but just fyi

I know this forum hasn't been active for almost a month but since the OP said it's for decision-pending statuses, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out here. I feel like I'm spamming the McGill discussion board but I really want to know what's going on! I've had this status for 2-3 weeks now and 6 people from my school have already gotten in! I applied late December, and they received my mid-term transcript on Feb 22. My 2 SAT I scores are pretty terrible on their own, but OK if they're superscored. I think I'm borderline...which isn't good :(

cumulative GPA: 3.7uw
SAT I: 2000 (superscored...i hope they superscore!)
SAT II's: US Hist 690 Biology 660
8 AP's in total by end of this school year
taken four of them already, all 5's

My son got into the Science faculty fairly promptly last year, but then his decision for Mechanical Engineering was stalled for weeks as Admissions allowed those with higher scores/grades in; he was apparently borderline. Then he was actually denied. Amazingly, several days later his status changed to Admitted, as some who had received offers of admission declined and made room for him. So sit tight, ALL IS NOT LOST. (He then said "no" to engineering and made room for someone else further down the chain).

Oh :S if that's my case I hope someone will spare some room for me! I'm not sure if Arts is relatively competitive or not...are my stats low for Arts?

I don't think they're low, your GPA and APs are right on target if not above. Probably it will hinge on your individual SAT I scores with CR being more important for Arts, I would guess, assuming you've meet all the minimums. Good luck!!!!

ur stats are perhaps exactly the same as my friend tim's. At least the SAT is. haha. He's still waiting on his McGill decision for arts.

My status has been Reviewed-Decision Pending for more than 2 weeks now. I applied to the faculty of science and my stats are
SAT I: 2270, 720M 760CR 790W
SAT II: 670 Biology, 750 Math II, 600 History (my SAT IIs suck and I know I need another science...)
GPA: 3.94/4.5 w, i don't know my uw gpa. but my freshman year gpa brought it down, it was 3.76 and Mcgill doesn't look at freshman year grades. this year my gpa is 4.13

dont worry, a lot of people have reviewed decision pending for science. Thats the school with the most applicants so they are pretty slow.
I actually found out from Arts and Sciences before Faculty of Science even tho A&S is much harder to get into...
and btw, with those stats ur automatically in.

My D has been reviewed decision pending for 3 weeks or more. Also engineering. SAT 2100 all 700+ on SAT 2's and 3.7/4.2 with 4.5 1st semester of senior year. Anyone know when McGill admissions wraps this up? Hopefully in the next week or so.

It wraps up March 31st so we should hear by then.

out of curiousity...not to be rude or shove it in anyone face, but im just wondering if anyone on these forums got rejected? im sure no one is going to post saying that, but...just a thought.

I got rejected from faculty of arts with a 32 ACT and a 3.9 GPA (UW). lol my status said "refused", actually. I didn't really want to go to McGill anyway but I don't understand why I was "refused" as my counselor told me my stats were above their norm and I was more or less guaranteed admission? My first semester senior grades didn't arrive until 29 February though so maybe they were just full by the time they got around to doing a full review of my application. I didn't have a downward trend in grades or anything and all of my classes were either AP or honors/most rigorous courseload available to me/etc lol I just hope this isn't indicative of things to come..

wow...im really sorry. my opinion would be that you should have been in, especially in comparison to me/some other people i know of. if it makes you feel better though, i got waitlisted at a backup school...i was above their 75th percentile in ACT and my grades were above their average so im kinda wishing i sent in my mcgill deposit and cancelled my other apps if this is indicative of what is to come. its just a really screwed up process and when schools are in a bind they have to make really ridiculous decisions. i would definitely think the grades thing is a factor...american students are mainly accepted first (i for one was accepted mid-february, some of my classmates before me, even), it makes sense that maybe they hadnt gotten enough immediate refusals to admit you once your grades did arrive, or figured you were not serious enough about attending to complete your application.

you did say mcgill wasnt your first choice or anything..but just in case, keep in mind that i believe you can dispute seemingly unfair decisions if you change your mind or are in an admissions bind later on (i sincerely doubt you will be though)...and good luck with your other schools!
