I love piano. I haven’t played as much in college as I did in high school, but I listen almost exclusively to Classical music, most of which is piano music. Some of my favorite pieces are the Liszt Transcendental etudes, the Chopin Ballades, and some Rachmaninoff piano works. The only piece I’m really keeping up right now is the Horowitz arrangement of Stars and Stripes forever.

I play the piano! I had an adjudication Wednesday night and I got a 99 playing Beethoven’s Pathetique (the judge saw that I messed up the left hand fingering in one part). I’m playing a recital this Sunday with a few Beethoven sonatas, some Bach, and a little bit of Liszt. :)

I play. I’m not amazing, but people seem to think that I play really well. I started teaching myself in December (with prior musical knowledge.) I knew how to play some easy nursery rhymes before that though. I’m currently memorizing “We are Young” and trying to perfect it. I also play trumpet, but I’ll flat out say that I’m horrible at that.

I know a little piano, I’m hoping to improve my skills a bit over the summer. The most ‘advanced’ song I can play right now is probably House of the Rising Sun.

I mostly learn music by ear. I can read music but it means very little to me, hearing it is much better.

piano player here. 8 years. seems like i’ve been abandoned by my new teacher…havent had a lesson for a month. have to play in a recital in 2 weeks…lol not good

recently been asked to teach a little 6 year old. he’s been taught a year or so and is on book 2 of piano town, except he needs to rework fundamentals.

I’ve played it, but I wouldn’t say I “play” it, if that makes any sense. I basically use it to mess around with chords, but I can’t really get the whole “two hands” thing down.

i’m not very good at all, but i love it. actually, one of my only summer goals this year is to get better. my whole family is very musical and i definitely lag behind a bit - it’s kind of sad, to be honest…

I don’t take the tests, but I occasionally check to see what grade I am at based on the repertoire I’m playing. I’m a grade 8 bassoonist :)

I play piano, but I really only use it to compose music and I dont have any books except for really easy ones. I’m probably grade 1 or 2
I also play flute and clarinet, of which I’m probably a grade 5 and a grade 3-4. :)
