I'm leaving it open as an option, but most likely not. College ROTC seems to take up more time than I'd probably want to give up, but depending on what other activities I'd be involved in...it's still an option.

St. John's was...yeah, I didn't like it. Especially the dorms, because that's where we stayed for four days. However, the NA "campus" was awesome. Especially being right there on the bay. Gah. We ate in one of the mess halls. It was awesome. The architecture's unbelievable. The whole atmosphere had this electric feel to it. It's all so regal and dignified; I loved it. How about you?

heh no, i was still in school. it was in the beginning of june i believe.

lol, ilcapo is being what we call an insensitive and intolerant liberal. According to liberals, that term is an oxymoron, but ilcapo demonstrates that it is a real type of person.

blushes Thanks, cav. I don't really consider myself to be all that good looking but I'm never beneath a little flattery. :)

Zante, I concur - men in uniform - or men dressed up in general = goooorgeous. I've never seen a photograph of you but I'll go with zante on this one, I'm sure you'd look good.

Cav, we can make Ilcapo bake us another anti-Reagan cake to eat, too, ha.

Does Pton have all the ROTC stuff or would you have to go to shudder rutgers?

sidenote: has anyone seen Private Benjamin? Now that's one hella funny military movie, which is closer to an oxymoron than probably anything else.

EDIT: Yeah, Princeton has ROTC. But it's army. Blech. One of the main reasons why I probably won't do it...;)

I loved all of it. It's such a great place, and I wouldn't have regretted going there, but I feel like I'd rather have a more normal college experience (with no post graduate obligations).

Oh but Cav does look good! Show her a pic! show her a pic!

Phil, is that the one with the girl? I remember it being sad though.

phil - im so dissapointed that you got sucked in to ROTC. just another way for the white *******s to exploit the poor black kids who have no future outside ROTC.

geez ilcapo he didn't even say that he was going to do it.

I didn't get sucked into ROTC...I'm not even in ROTC...

And yeah, PB starred Goldie Hawn. It was high-larious.

I want to see, now - you've piqued my curiosity. Not that looks matter, or anything, but I just like to attach faces to (online) names.

Ohhh, man, if we all make it to Pton I don't even want to think about re-learning all these names..... I am horrible with names; I couldn't even keep the 105 XC girls straight by the end of the season! (And I was a captain meep)

"meep" lol haah ahh that's such a cute and descriptive sound

I know what you mean though, I've always thought of you as Grace or something, it'll be hard to learn real names.

Ilcapo, rotc is a good program that pushes people into college and being officers in the military. At my school the ROTC program has helped many people, white and black, get into college and have a better life than they were facing before. Many people are pushed into it by administration because they come from rough backgrounds, and some of my friends that are in it (yes, friends, minorities too!) from the track team have made complete turnarounds in their lives because of it. Also, many people that are in it are not disadvantaged but do it because they like that sort of thing. And another thing, it's not run by a white dude...It's run by a black guy. No white b******* exploitation there.

hahah yea you tell him cavalier.
:D

Let's see --

zantedeschia in my mind is "zant-ay"
cavalier is "cav"
philntex is "phil"
ilcapo is "cap"

did i miss anyone currently posting on this thread?

Anyone who "likes that sort of thing" has only been indoctrinated by the masochistic/militaristic mindset that our culture gender-socializes into males.

Yeah, same for me lisae (yours pronounced leezahy), except I hear zante as zahn-tay. Kind of like faughn...;)

wtf? try this: add the two fractions together in the browser bar and hit go.

http://img48.exs + .cx/img48/8892/r3o1000181wince.jpg = me
