Who here is Democrat or Republican?

me, too.... when i was in england i dragged everyone to a cricket game to fufill a life-long dream ;)

gracey....

are you applying to haverford?!?!

or kenyon :)?

Guess who's back....yes, you all are addictive.

Actually I have a valid reason...I needed to complain, lol. =)

I have a Physics Lab Final due tomorrow. We divide up into lab groups of 3 for these, and I got assigned to do the "Results & Conclusions" section (Pt 3) of the lab. Here's the catch: to do this section, I need to have---in hand---the other two sections because I have to discuss them. And my lab partners emailed tonight and said, "Well...we'll bring our results tomorrow. Sorry we couldn't do it in time."

WTF? What do I do? Just fudge the whole thing, I guess. Grrrrrrrr. I could:
a) make it up, or
b) do the whole lab (which is a double length one....calculations, questions, analysis....and then do the results from my own work. By tomorrow.)

Okay, that was my complaint. Sorry for venting, guys =/

I would be calling the other two, telling them that I needed them NOW otherwise I wouldn't be able to do my part, as it hinged on theirs. There would be no way that I'd be willing to do their sections as its pretty irresponsible of them not to get them to you.

God, don't you hate it? Those of us who actually care about our grades seem to always get stuck with the biggest slobs. Good luck, I'll be hoping that everything turns out okay for you (which I'm sure it will).

No, I'm not, Ilcap - my mum axed me on those. :( Only Ivy and Vandy out-of-state, I'm afraid.

Yeah...only problem is, I don't know them so I don't have their #'s. Otherwise they'd be getting an earful =)

Sorry---I think I killed the convo. Do carry on. I'll carry on with Physics. Resigned to the worst

You don't have their numbers? Odd. At my school, we're given a student directory at the beginning of the year with everyone's address and home phone numbers... I just sort of assumed every school worked that way.

Well, e-mail them again and tell them that you'll have NOTHING to turn in tomorrow if you don't get their part because you need the results to draw conclusions from!

le sigh....

Thanks for the compliments, everyone, I'm glad to hear that my image evokes thoughts of Princeton the the Great Gatsby (good book, btw). I'll definitely have to throw some lavish parties parties for you guys up there at Princeton...if I get in! Hopefully I will and we can meet up at some eating club or something. Oh, and if I am Gatsby, who will my Daisy be?

lol, are you asking for a show of hands?

lol gracilisae for sure, with her cricket sweater. lol

ilcapo, you only want to watch, not play?

sorry kebree! I hate when that happens. How about you evil plan foward ur partners' email to your prof and explain why you can't do your part. bahaha

I'm no facist. Dem all the way

so you're more of a socialist?

haha, zant, they're college profs with 300 students in the class. They aren't incredibly sympathetic. I'll just have to do the whole thing by staying up until 4 or 5 am. Gross.

Three cheers for communism!

Hip hip, hooray!
Hip hip, hooray!
Hip hip, hooray!

political discussions get so fun....

i wish i knew how to play cricket! where, pray tell, does one learn such a sport?

Come to England with me next semester, Kyle! Then you can learn.....

But only if I get to tag along to Brazil.

Did I ever tell you I saw Tony Blair move into 10 Downing Street? ---They move in the day after the elections are held. Talk about short notice.

Maybe you can go there to protest the war. =)

As every female’s hand on the board pops up...

Looking forward to your "lavish parties," Cav - if we all get in, we must hold one in major celebration.

Kebree, that sucks big-time. How far are you on the lab right now?

Ilcap - Some random guys at my school go play cricket at a club in another town, but I have no idea how they got involved. I would think you'd just ask around and see if anyone knew if it was offered within a reasonable distance from your house; it's not as if it's prevalent in the states so word-of-mouth seems like the best method.

haha...finishing calculations. Since this one's double length (the physics experiment took 4-5 hours), the conclusions should probably be about 7-9 pages long. And I haven't started that. Or the questions for discussion that the other lab partner was supposed to do (there are 20). We get 0 credit if it's late.

Coffee, you are my friend.

What are you guys showing hands for?

Oh and gracilisae, what's your SN? IM me @ cavalier302 .

you, cavalier (haha).

Could you figure out the conclusions without the questions? If so, I'd prioritize them last or not do them at all, since you'll get a copy tomorrow.

I'd suggest chocolate as well, to add to that mix... and perhaps some Haagen Daz with hot fudge, if available. I'm munching on some white-chocolate covered pretzels right now - one of the perks of having parents who own their own practice is we get sent all these huge candy baskets, restaurant certificates, etc. in thanks for referrals + using labs - we can eat ourselves into a coma way BEFORE the Christmas day cookie baking has begun!

lol. I should start my own thread...
