<p>hey guys, I'm from CT and applying to the UW so i was just wondering who on this board is also not from washington, cause it seems like an overwhelming majority is from in state (which would make sense lol) but yeah, although i have many WA connections, im not from there myself.</p>

<p>I'm from FL :D though many people ask me why on earth am I applying to a place that's on the opposite corner of the US, you would too if you were born and raised here x_x however, I also have a few friends I know in WA. No family though.</p>

<p>I'll third that Florida. Most of my family lives in WA, and my mom was raised there, but she ended up in FL because of her job.</p>

<p>My dad's side of the family is from Spokane and a lot of my family lives in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, which isn't quite as far as Florida.</p>

<p>Hey...lil06tecksta....is it true Oregon students at WA state schools get instate tuition and WA students at OR state schools also get instate tuition?</p>

<p>^ yeah i heard about it... but its not automatic.. we have to ask and the couselor will go thru something (not sure what yet)... <em>which reminds me</em>.... i need to go see my couselor and ask for further info..

<p>i'm from oregon. you don't get in-state tuition at UW... it's like a tuition exchange thing, but UW doesn't participate. Washington State and some other schools do have this program. I am like 99% sure.</p>
